Riddle me this - what if you need help, flip your cell phone open and it says NO SERVICE? I don't know if you have noticed, but when you get out West and get more than a few miles off an Interstate or a few miles out of a town, this is VERY common. Fire up a CB and start spinning through the channels, I bet you will find someone that can hear you.

He'd have to settle for the most archaic of communication forms, smoke signals, that is if he's smart enough to think of it.

I dont have a CB installed, I do have a CB wired to plug into the cigerette lighter and a magnetic mount antenna ready to slap on any vehicle needed if I ever need or want it again.

CB's are practicle for off roading, hunting and farming, to maintian communicatin with people in your party or with the house from the field in places where there is not any cellular service for the people that actually use thier trucks besides mall crawling or glorified grocery getters for manginas. Although recently walkie talkies have improved that for 3-4 year now mot of my aquanintances and I have switched to using them for increased privacy.

As far as the hatin'..... dude you started this thread with hate. In life you get what you put in to it. Since you put in hate, thats what you got back. Imagine that, funny how that works.

It would've been very simple had you just asked your question like a normal human being, but you've got to insult everyone here, make stupid comments about 9/11, and just be an all around ****.

You pretend like you're asking a sincere question, but you're not, you already have your answer anyway; that was proven by your stupid and closed minded comments.

Go find a nice tall building and jump off, Fk I hate people like you.
I hope you get a nice smack one day for being so stupid.

Now go back to the hole you crawled out off and get lost.

Fkhead.

CB radios are great. We use one at the hunting camp in the evening talking to other camps. You find out how the other guys made out during the hunt, and chat to old friends. I think its fun! If you think CB's are stupid then your talking to the wrong crowd. We are all truck guys. We don't buy trucks cause its trendy. I think you need to hang out in the honda civic forum and trade that truck in.

I can't believe that picture of the towers in your myspace account. Whoever made that picture needs to be punched in f'k'n face!!

I used to have a CB in my Dodge. I had a nice 100 watt bilinear amp hooked up and people could hear me talking through their TV's if I was too close

All the big gear jammin truckers used to hate when I'd be able to walk over'em..LOL

CB's have a lot of great uses. Everything I was going to add has already been mentioned in this thread though, including emergency situations, road conditions, the fuz, and black holes (no service cell phone areas).

CB's may appear to be "retro" but they are better than any radar detector I have used...and, as others have said, if there is an accident, you can forewarn others about it. When I travel with groups of others going someplace we use another channel to communicate and to keep track of needed breaks, etc. My cellphone doens't work in certain areas---even Ohio.

I certainly wouldn't go anywhere without one in my truck. Lose the sarcasm and go to K-Mart---Aisle 7, I believe, and pick up up some civility and some common sense.

Isn't this the same guy who all he cares about when he visits a city is where to find bars? Methinks we have someone with a lot of issues here.
