Trucks owned by High Schoolers
i'm 19 now, but when I turned 17 & was going into my senior year & I bought & paid for my '01 Supercrew F150, had to have it in rents name till I turned 18, I started driving an '00 red Trans Am WS6 when I was 16, sweet car & all but I prefer a truck, more useful, I have a '02 WS6 now that i've been thinking of selling too

just dont say your not spoiled guys case you are!Parents spend a % of their income on their kids. about 20%.
spoiled is when parents spend more than that % on their kids, what they cant afford. my dads 20% is a lot higher than the other parents 20%. So really them buying their kids a $4000 car puts more of a dent in their wallet than spending 25k on a truck to my dad.
how can you expect someone to not spend the money on their kids if they have it?

I'm 16, will be 17 in a two months, and I have a 2006 XLT Screw. Yes my parents and grandmother paid for it, but this was a graduation present, real early lol, and I never get in trouble or do dumb **** so they felt I deserved it. We bought it used with 15K on it and paid 21K for it. I have paid for most of the mods, except the backup lights and toolbox, but those were for X-mas presents. I do work in the summer, I'm a caddy btw, and will hopefully find some time on the weekends when school starts to detail cars and make some more money.
Here she is =)

talking about teenagers and their first cars.
somethin about the combination just pisses off people.
I'm 16 and my truck is something i am proud of. its an 04 f150 heritage model, and it had 54,000 miles on it when i bought it. technically, im still buying it. my mom put down 1,000 dollars. i pay the note and gas, which is about 320 dollars a month combined. and they foot the 190 dollar insurance. and i try and put in half for insurance.
i dont have to, but its a nice gesture being they bought me the truck in the first place. it was 14,000 dollars, and its pretty much brand new.
im spoiled. and im sure there are guys here more spoiled than me.
know what i say? my hats off to ya. your lucky you have the opportunity, and if i had the chance, i'd take it too.
chill guys. this is why kids look stupid these days.
oh yeah, drone you have a really nice truck. how wide are those rims on it?

after reading this thread... wow. holy @#%! ........ I feel fortunate enough to even have a truck.. none the less a f150. But geeze.... My dream truck of working my *** of and doing well in school in hopes of someday getting I am finding out 15 16 and 17 year old kids already get this.... I don't wanna sound like an *** but... damn.... And to think... at my school.. most kids ride the school bus. I feel blessed not having to do that (i'd just get a ride from a friend anyways). Enough crying now :P. I'm 17 going to be a senior.. and im a proud owner of a 1996 F150 that's my baby. I wash it allllll the time and clean windows tires wheels and everything. In my sig.

Now if a high schooler bought it, put a down payment, saved up etc.. I applaud them for their focus and hard work. Then they really deserve a fruit of their labor like a beautiful truck. They have the right to make it known that they BOUGHT IT, "wipe your feet before you get in."
I've seen too many kids get a brand new nice truck, put on $$$ of aftermarket add ons, then drive the thing like it was stolen and smash, scratch, dent, and generally treat it like crap, aka, go out on weekends drinking in that brand new nice truck.
Those that paid, work and bought a vehicle, tend to wash it, rub it, maintain it and generally treat it like it was a true reward.

Your truck should be getting more than 10-11 mpg. I have 3 inches and 35's and im getting 14. I was getting 17 before the lift and tires. All it looks like you have is some tires a little bigger than stock.
