OK, hopefully you were headed south and you're deep into West Virginia. Keep going South and East. Head to the coast. Look for Raoul, he's down there somewhere. Ask him. He knows sports and he's pretty smart and chances are he not on pain meds.

Dear Zaairman dude - When are you comoing to SoCal? (Probably when I'm in Kansas no doubt) Dude, we gootta go to In-N-Out, my treat.

Now, speaking of In-N-Out (it's what a hamburger is all about) . . . dude, one of the beauties of that place is you can have it however you want. However, my burgers, I always order them animal style (although I don't order the fires that way).

3x3 or 4x4 (I actually saw a pic of a 20x20 once) burgers . . . just too much if you ask me. However, whatever works for you works for you!

I say go animal style the way the burger Gods intended . . . with onions and tomatos and pickles and things of that nature. (Arnold joke).

Damn boys and girls, Kobi re-read the group of answers he wrote last night while under the influence of Vicodin™, NyQuil™ Extreme™Cold&Flu Nighttime medicine, and a couple of Benedryl thrown in for good measure. Kobi™ knows better, but these things happen. I barely remember writing those posts last night and a review makes evident my declining ability to think clearly (let alone type).

Sorry about that kids. But, it teaches us a valuable lesson. While under the influence of meds one must stay away from the keyboard.

It hath arrived. Oh My God. I'll take pics when I get home... sucks I can't leave my desk due to the full wood I'm sporting once I opened the box. They are a work of art, and sound amazing even before burn-in. My silver/copper hybrid cable should be here by Friday. Gonna be a great weekend.

PS - I've read on other forums that the difference between the Apple Lossless and AAC 256/VBR are slim to none. Interesting...your thoughts? I also discovered how to use multiple music libraries in iTunes. Waaaaay cool.

Now that I'm not wasted on pain meds (although I'm still a bit discombobulated) I went back through the mostly useless posts to find where you asked a question and I can't find one that wasn't addressed. You asked about lossless in post 454 and I responded in post at 463. You responded to thatin post 468 but didn't ask a question. Well, actually you did ask "Sound familiar?" but that was rhetorical.

So I guess I'm asking you . . . is there something you need addressed? How can I help? Do you want me to talk you out of the over-the-top headphone purchase? Is it too late for that?

And now it's obvious that it's too late to talk you out of getting something that cost 3 times as much as the compressed source. So I'll withhold comment on any of it, other than to say, "Enjoy"

You couldn't talk me out of the McIntosh, so I'll call it even.

That said . . . it doesn't surprise me that there's no dif between the compressed formats. Like I said, I drink the Apple Juice but I ain't stupid . . . (at least I don't think I am).

Coming soon . . . I'm going to have to find a really good CD player with both XLR and RCA outputs. I'm loath to drop what Mc charges for one though.

 

It was more so you got the point about the importance and distinct difference in cables. I was shocked at the difference myself. I am now comtemplating a serious cable upgrade for the home theatre. When constructed 6 years or so ago my ears were not as refined as they are now. I was one of those that wasn't a true believer in dropping 15% of my budget on cables. The time has come.

Yeah... as you already saw... way too late. The total is now 4x the amount of the compressed source (I ordered another cable yesterday)... but it sounds oooohhhh so good. I will enjoy.
