You and me both Darren. There are a few sweet sounding rams around near my school/work I want to hammer it by when it's all done This muffler I've only heard on cobras. There's a 640 HP Whipple charged termi at school that runs cat less and sounds insane. If I get around that volume I'll be in heaven.

Looks great. Shame the S-type Is not available in 3"

Also Magnaflow Ypipe will not work just for the tips, maybe have a custom shop fabbed one or Y-pipe after the stinger in Si/Do config.

Yeah figured I'd give you a heads up. Two tips connected to a magnaflow Y wont fit. The pre-fabbed Y is too narrow

Yeah it wouldn't fit anyways since the tips are 4" inlet. So on thinking 3" mid pipe then 2.5" from muffler into the dual tips

That's what I would do.

O man, those tips are gorgeous! Nice, shiny & big! Are they double walled tips like I have on my truck? They sure as hell look like it. Either way, they are nice.

And man, those S-Types are gonna scream! Look at the short length of that muffler. I can't imagine how these are gonna sound on that 5.4.
If they had em' in 3", I probably would've scooped them up.

But, I guess they stop making em' in 3" or the only way you can get em' is if you order the whole kit Im guessing? Because I know alot of Stangs [Cobras particularly like you mentioned] that run these mufflers in 3" on their setups out here. Anyway, are are you gonna run the tips behind the tire? I think that setup looks so much better on our S-Cabs than the Side Exit! Hidden & Slanted! I can't wait to hear this bugger...

I have never seen nor heard of an S-type manufactured by Borla Exhaust Inc in 3" inlet/outlet format. Are these people you are talking of with the Mustangs having them flanged to fit?

Yup 2.5" only legit only made from the demand of swapping them into catbacks. Used in the original mustang and Corvette stinger systems. Now the mufflers vary by application because of Borla tuning each exhaust to the popular vehicles.

The tips are double wall and the exit will be the same. My truck is slowly becoming a sport truck. I can't wait for the transformation I have planned after I graduate college next fall. The exhaust should be interesting and will have a bit of 4" piping before the tips. The deepness caused by the tips is mind boggling. They're 12" x 5" outlet with 4" inlets.
