Last night, I was waiting on a train, and I put on brakes and stomped the gas..... Have you ever seen that Neal video? Well his truck isn't that special!!! I didn't try shifting into 2nd, but the engine was nearly redlined. I let them warm up for about 7 seconds, let off the brake, and left about 30 feet of duals on the pavement!! I had to let off the gas or I would have hit the train.

Tonight I raced a Trans-am from a red-light, up a hill and won. We both let off at 45mph (speed limit). He had a stick, and was kinda slow on the 1-2 shift, but he didn't have a prayer after he hit 2nd. I don't doubt that he would have beaten me on the flat but....

I wish I had this edge back in high school.....

Chester, I read a bunch of your posts and think this is a guy who knows his stuff but I am sorry beating TA from 0-45 is not likely even if he is stock. Maybe it was a Firebird with a V6. I own a WS6 and I dream that my truck would run like a stock WS6. When I asked what I could do to make my truck like a stock WS6. The only answer I got was to supercharge it. I am sorry but I don't think the Edge made that much of a difference. I think my truck is driving better w/the Edge too.

Has anyone heard from Rob via phone or email. I am one of those who may have lost my stock programming and my display says 0 even though it is definately on program 2.

Stephen

I just got ahold of Rob. He says that they've been trying for a week to come up with a way to fix the evolution oner the internet, but they gave up. He says that we're gonna have to send them back. He's gonna contact the beta testers soon. Keep an eye on your emails later today.

Well it probably was, but QUIT ASSUMING CRAP!!!!! It could have very well been a V8!!

Yeah I know....

Rob said it would be soon. I asked for special consideration, cause I need the truck back stock. So he said that he was gonna send my info today with a next day air label. (I don't know if that goes for everybody or not) That'll be really nice if he does. I've been pulling stuff with it set to level 3 and I'd like to have it back to stock.

I quit running high test gas. It got way too expensive. The truck performs fine on 87 even though I'm set to level 3. I can't tell any difference. If anything, it has even more power.

So realistically, how long before someone can buy this "edge programmer"? And I seen an Edge evolution in the paper for sale. We're the old chips good and what kind of gains did you get from them.

What gives, I can't get my 5.4 to turn the wheels when the brakes are on. The rear discs must be to strong, even for level 3.

Does the programmer have any type of computer interface? serial cable or usb cable? Im a network engineer and have connections with some good programmers - Wondering if I might be able to help Rob get setup so he can possibly "reflash" the programmer by sending the file over the internet. (the sooner these are avail the sooner i can have one!

Did you say spin the tires on the 5.4 without a supercharger? skinny tires?

Fry the tires? Why yes actually I think I will!

I can fry the crap out of my (stock size LT265/60/R17) tires on dry pavement, with the rear disk brakes and all, and that's on a pretty much non-tuned truck. I have done a couple airbox mods and have a Flowmaster exhaust, but other than that, I haven't really done much performance wise.

I don't know maybe I just got a real goon one! Or maybe I just have an especially heavy right foot.
