Any way you or any one else could provide a pic or two on this? I must of been at it for an hour trying to get the socket out with out breaking anything. thanks

Is this the correct wiring if I want a switch? Just want to make sure before I go ahead with this and start cutting.

now that this thread has been dead a month or so... and you guys have had time to do this and all.... have any of you ran into any problems?

my first set up broke when i was out of town and the button fell behind the dash. of course i didnt have tools with me. ya to stick my are in the tiny slot and grab the switch. fixed it when i got home though. havent had a problem since

no problems from mine. I put in a "valet" switch so that I can still turn the key to start it it.

I ended up losing my keys and had to have two new ones made ($175) the guy said that i had to re-wire it because he couldn't get the pats to program, i think that he was just old and set in his ways so I wired it back up stock and he made my keys then i put it back no problems yet. im thinking about putting the valet switch in some time this week.

how did you fix it so it would stay in place..

Ive had mine goin since this thread was made and iv had no problems. I will say though if i hold the button down two long the check gauges comes on the odometer readout but other than that, works good.

yes boomer it will work with a 5speed just push the clutch in lol

would you mind posting a couple pics of your set-up? is it essentially the same?? same color of wires as well?? i have a 98 as well and would like to do this mod as well...we don't really have a problem with stealing so i might put nascar style switches in mine though

will that one work for this mod? i see that it is 15A but doesn't say if that is for the 6v or 12v im thinking it is for the 12v
