X2. If they don't respond file a complaint with the city managers office and they will get you fast tracked to have it fixed. Its the responsibility of the city to ensure the proper signage is used for the paint. If they can't get it off, have them repaint the entire truck so that all paint is matching.

DO NOT try and do it yourself. They may come back and say you caused more damage to the vehicle and they don't have to repair those sections or they will make you pay for partial repair if it can be detailed off the vehicle by a professional shop.

Ok so just to keep yall updated, went to a friends last night to show it to his dad who works on cars for a living. We tried to get it off with a number of things that didn't put much of a dent in it at all. So I called the Georgia DOT this morning and have been transfered 3 times so far and now someone is looking up if the road I was on was being taken care of by them or by the county itself.

edit:County has some nice elevator music when they put me on hold to transfer me again to another department.

Ouch ! A few years ago , while I was working at a body shop, I got the short straw and had to remove paint overspray off 7 or 8 cars / trucks that were parked next to a Dam that was being painted with epoxy paint. I spent a whole day on each vehicle and did the best I could. The owners of the cars were warned that the painting was going to be done and chose not to move their cars. The paint coverage was everywhere on the vehicles. all around. wiper arms , grilles , moldings. You get the point. My arms and shoulders at the end of the week felt like I ran a marathon on my hands. And my paycheck wasnt any fatter. I wish you the best of luck with the clean up, and hopefully someone will take responsability for not posting signage of the work in progress. J.B.

Oh , by the way. I know people will cringe at the thought of this. but What I used , besides alot of elbow grease to remove the epoxy paint was Bleach white. The stuff for cleaning whitewall tires. Of coarse a complete polishing was in order afterward . I didnt get any of the vehicles back with unhappy owners.

fixable, but the unpainted plastics will be tricky. I still have paint in one of my wheel wells from several years ago. Only thing i know to do on the wheel wells is sand it down.

You could always drive the other side through the paint and make it match

Call your insurance company and have the agent go to bat for you with the county. This is what we pay these people for...your agent makes a living off you and when you need help, they should step up. This should be on your comprehensive, so no deductible or collision hassles. Then, after your agent reams them out, you should be able to take it to a body shop and get someone else to do a proper correction. If they won't help. lose 'em.

Sorry dude. Complain complain and complain about it.

If your stuck doing it yourself,I had surprisingly good results with a claybar kit after I got paint overspray on my truck. Fortunately, it was silver paint on a silver truck, not queer orange on a black truck.

damn man that blows... A fellow coworker a couple years back did this to his red F250 with white paint... he took it to a car wash and got most of it off pretty quick.. but there still some you can see (its a work truck so he didn't care about it much.. )

but after baking in the sun in a black truck.. that's gonna take a lot of work!

x10k Complain Complain and Complain some more till THEY fix it!

That totally sucks, I would be chasing whoever to get it fixed. If all fails, the colors go to an amazing school

if all fails i would suggest new paint job schemes for your truck, and yes totally get a pic of your tires goin down the yellow line....unless they repainted that already. sorry about that but not much can be done

Insurance still wants the deductible and the county never called me back. So they will be getting another 8am call tomorrow.

Did you talk to the Road Commission? If they don't have their own stripping crew, and it's subbed out, the RC is still the go to on this one. Their who you want unless you were on privet property. Their county, their road.

I'd fire your insurance provider, -lazy ***. They should of done allot more than tell you,- we still want our deductible.

You need to go to the county office in person with the truck and the exact location, date and time of where you picked up the paint. Unfortunately, most county offices never call back on things like this as they just expect it to be something minor and "go away" due to the frustration of the owner. But in your case, i would go to them in person no matter what and talk to the person in charge..

Your insurance should not even be brought into the equation, If it is even mentioned by the County Road commission, you need to make sure they know you will NOT be using your insurance to cover this, as it is 100% their fault and they should be paying for it out of pocket. After-all.. why should they get away with just paying the deductible and you get stuck with possibly paying a higher insurance premium.
