Got a nice "custom" paint job today... HELP
That's still crap. Better than nothing, but that's about it. They should tell you where to drop the truck off (detail shop) or ask you where/which shop do you prefer. The defendant/party should pay services directly, - it was their fault.
Yea, sounds like they want YOU to foot the bill first , then fight for reimbursement later.
Looks like you could fight and eventually win, - it's up to you. If YOU can remove it without damaging the clear-coat, that wouldn't be so bad. I would at-least stop by a detailer and get a quote, -so you have a good idea what they charge.

Yeah they want me to foot the bill up front, if it works and comes back perfect I won't mind much. If it comes back less than perfect they can pay more.
ya man, id hold them to the entire bill even if it does cost more. i have a family friend who is a lawyer and when stuff needs to be taken care he plays the "im a lawyer and will kick your as$ if you dont do it right" card
Call your insurance company and have the agent go to bat for you with the county. This is what we pay these people for...your agent makes a living off you and when you need help, they should step up. This should be on your comprehensive, so no deductible or collision hassles. Then, after your agent reams them out, you should be able to take it to a body shop and get someone else to do a proper correction. If they won't help. lose 'em.

Got an update for yall, My dad took the truck to a detailer this morning when I was at work before he drove it to Hartwell for the weekend. $215 later, paint is black again, but the tire is still yellow for the most part and parts of the inside wheel well is still yellow. Wasn't too happy with it not being 100% spotless after a detail but it is much better. Now I need to call the subcontractor and see if they will cover the full price of the detail.
I never got a chance to get a picture (Dad ran the truck over to where I was getting a hair cut before he left) but I'm going to have my brother send me a picture when he gets a chance so yall can see it.
More good news: My 09 emblems came in today! Downside is I don't have the truck here to put them on...

Road paint is water based , so that turtle wax bug and tar remover should work. A bug and tar remover of some kind.
Gas on a rag would clean the tires. It evaporates quick enough so it won't damage the tire.
