Some Recent Updates I thought I'd share!
Update: February, 5th 2010
Well, more of an update than last time.
Today I took the day off and hung out at the old shop.
I got an oil change done.
Side note on that actually, I had the dealer do it last time. I was up there anyway and so I thought I'd get it done. They told me to come back in, in 5,000mi for the next change. So I waited 5,000. When we changed it today I got a good look at the old oil. It was way, way dirtier than the last time I did it (3,000). So from now on I'm going back to 3,000. Food for thought to anybody waiting 5. I'm just glad I noticed sooner rather than later.
...Anyway back on topic.
I had some help putting in my 3rd brake light. I've tried putting in myself several times and I couldn't get at the damn harness through the 3rd brake housing opening. Mr. B ended up pushing it through the dome light opening. I'd watched videos on how to install it online, but maybe it's different on the Regular Cab or something.
So, onto the photos.
Older Picture of OEM 3rd Brake Light (ironically taken on the day that I painted the tails, and the day before I had the accident)

Installed, with OEM light sitting near

Lit up # 1

Lit # 2

After that, we moved on the Lamin-x-ing the fog lights.
Factory Fogs (Currently being taken out in this picture)

(and yes, that is a 2010 Camaro SS in the corner of that picture!
)
Me feeling quite inadequate... (I'm parked behind the Camaro. 2000 Saab 9-3 Viggen in front of the Camaro if anybody cares...)
One completed

Done. In the real world... Actually at the bank putting money in the right account so that the check wouldn't bounce... <facepalm/>
To sum up today...
1.) I hate taking pictures of the truck when she's dirty
2.) While I like the "euro look" of the yellow fogs, they don't match the amber in the headlights. So that's bugging me. Another project for the list. Yay.
3.) Lamin-x is a really good idea in theory. You can't tell from the pictures, but it's really thick stuff. I'd say two or three times thicker than window tint film. I'm going to do my best at doing a write-up. Once it's up I'll cross post it here.
4.) I forgot to mention it earlier, but I had the headlight bulbs replaced under warranty. Having High beams again, is totally awesome.
5.) No I won't go to the dark-side I love my Ford, but you can't argue with a tuned 470HP
Edit: As promised, here's a link for the Install!
Edit (again): Here's all the pictures of the Camaro, if anybody wants to see more.

try the smoked tint on the fogs!
i had mine done like that for awhile and it looked awesome!
and i know what you mean about the Laminx being thick, definitely seems like it should help protect from rocks and such.
i like your truck dude, just needs a drop!
you can do it! just look around for good deals, theyre out there. you just gotta know where to look.
i have ~200 bucks in my whole drop and thats including 4 new shocks...

Wow, I'm tired... I completely forgot to mention them protecting the lights...
But yes, you're dead on there.
I would LOVE to drop the truck. It is the biggest thing on my to-do list. Here's what holding me back, maybe somebody has input, IDK...
1.) She isn't paid for yet, so I feel kinda werid about doing stuff that big when she isn't mine %100. (Then again, if I found a good enough deal my mind could be persuaded...
)2.) On that topic though, anybody have input on voiding the warranty? Since I paid for it, I don't want to screw it up. Anyone know of any way around that? Like if I used Saleen or Roush parts?

3.) I know that I have XL, but that doesn't mean I'm happy about it. My next "Mod" is upgrading the mirrors, and PTM the rear bumper. I don't like looking like every other work truck. OEM+ mods first I think
It is 2:05am for me, and I am really ranting here.
I'm not sure why, I want to drop the truck, why the hell am I trying to talk myself out of it. I dunno, I feel pretty loco at this point!

True, everyone seems to smoke everything so the yellow would be unique.
As for you tryin to talk yourself out of droppin it even though you want to, I blame that on just bein up late. I do that all the time when I'm up late. Or I'll go on E-bay and buy a bunch of stuff then go to bed and wake up and wonder wth I did that for.

...for the record I just laid in bed and couldn't fall asleep. I'll try again in a couple minutes. Maybe I shouldn't leave my computer in my room at night...
<bangshead/>
Yellow isn't my thing. I don't even know what laminx is. But for your drop kit, stylinconcept is having an awesome deal for belltech stage 1 kits, buy a kit and get street performance shocks for free! My drop kit (2-3"/4") is going to cost $375ish shipped!
unless I'm looking at the wrong thing...
BIG UPDATE!
So somebody may have figured out what I was up to, (there's a picture in my album of two XLT grilles...)
Anyway, I've been talking with Patrick (Patman03SprCrw) about his special, "Patman Grille". Oh yeah, I'm excited. So, after getting home today and seeing a big brown box on my front porch, a drove as fast as I could to the garage. Woo-Hoo! Like I said, I'm excited, so if you think that there's too many pictures; well then I'm sorry. But don't lie, we all like pictures!

I can't wait to get her clean, and get real pictures but...
anyway I'm excited!
Oh, just in case anybody missed it, here's Patrick's Teaser Thread:

I assumed you want the 3/5" drop kit.

It might come up different for you, but if it does, just re-enter your truck info.
