Yeah, I know what you mean.
the only reason that I seem to go as fast as I do is the fact that I work at an aftermarket shop. Getting parts at cost makes things go a bit faster.
I see that you have fogs behind your grille though; those have been on my "to do" list since I got my truck! Good Work!

Yeah unfortunately they are still on my to do list. I tightend one up on the mounting bar to much and screwed it up to where it won't tighten down all the way anymore so its loose and bounces around, soon to fix that. Also when i was messing with the lights trying to fix the loose one blew the bulb in the other. So at the moment they are just there for looks. Soon i will be able to use them again, they help alot on the back roads here in southern illinois.

If you do come up let me know when, and I'll be sure to be at the shop. If you take the truck, I'll wash mine and we can take some pictures do something!

I just realized that I never put up pictures of the finished console.

So...
What does everybody think?

...In hindsight I think that it's cool that traded for it, but I don't think that I would be as happy if I had to pay for it. I'm not sure the detail that you can see in the pics, but the quality on it is kinda weak.

although that's free for you!

yeah, that's what i'd like to do as well.
question for you guys though.
(my boss says i can't do this, but i'm gonna ask anyway)

on our trucks the floor mounted (auto) shifter looks like this:

I've always liked the "gate type shifter" looks, so is there anyway I could convert that to this?

Thoughts?

Not that I'm anywhere near that point, but just over-thinking as usual...
