I have no idea man... you know... Patman03sprcrw might know. He's pretty good with stuff like that. Leave him a message.

It is a long ways off for me as well, but I would much rather have it than the column one. Also, down the road wood grain kit like the Lariat and then Tan and Black 2 tone leather seats.

Small Update:

My truck has almost no chrome on it from the factory, so what is there bothers me (it looks out of place to me). While eventually I'd like to shave the badges, antenna handles, etc that's way out of my budget at this point. Some of you may remember that I'd gotten some decal overlays; but I just hadn't gotten around to it. I found these on ebay, and I thought that I'd grab 'em before someone else did.

Close Up:

I hope no one thinks that I'm trying to be a poser, I think that the Saleen stuff is really cool. (They are actual Saleen parts, btw).
...Funny thing is that I washed the truck the day after these pics were taken and I was too stupid to any pictures before it started to rain this morning.
<facepalm/>

Oh yeah we finished painting like an hour later...

Also, not this has to do with me but...
Yesterday when I was getting my oil changed I was looking around the lot and I saw one on these...

and in the background...

and one when they finally pried me off of the raptor and kicked me outside

Hope you guys enjoy, the Raptor kinda overshadows my little 4.2

Not really an update but anyway...
First off I got my 3rd Brake Light in the mail the other day.
I want to seal it up before I install it, just to be on the safe side, and I haven't had time for that yet...
Now I'm waiting for class to start, and instead of going my Graphic Design homework (like I should be), I started working on this:

Thoughts?

ok two things for today...

1.) Somebody in a Grand Cherokee hit me this morning on the way to class...
I was stopped at the light and she hydroplaned into me. she wasn't going faster than like 10 though. Nothing happened to me (honestly I can't a find a scratch), it just wasn't the way that i wanted to start my day.

2.)Anyway, I was coming from the dealer to talk to them about my new cluster. They don't seem to have a clue on what to do, and I'd rather not them learn on my truck. I've been searching on here to find out how most people are doing them and the only thing that I've found so far to be useful is this:

To just hit the high spots;
The cluster is easy to swap.
The mileage is contained in the cluster.
The 'new' cluster will work, i.e. gauges, cruise, speedometer, tachometer.

HOWEVER

The dome light, door chimes, headlight warning, alarm system etc. will NOT work until a competent dealer reprograms the cluster/PCM to match your truck.
This costs 45-130 bucks. Usually about 85 bucks.

The mileage will not match.
The dealership will almost never have the ability to adjust the clusters mileage.
Local speedometer shops may be able to do this. Price varies 70-299. Most pay about 85 bucks.

Legal stuff;
You can put in a different mileage cluster legally under very narrow criteria.
Example you can put in a 0 miles cluster anytime your cluster goes bad. This is federal and most states. BUT you must put a tag in the door jamb showing the cluster has been swapped and the relevant mileage change.

CarFax and other reporting agencies will note your mileage has changed. This dings your resale value.
Example, you take truck to dealer, tune-up shop, smog shop, get ticket, etc. anywhere that logs your mileage. Then you take it there three months later and it has less mileage... A red flag will go to CarFax etc. and from then on there will be a question about it whenever anyone looks at your vehicles history.

So get the correct mileage programmed into a cluster and then pay the dealer to set the cluster up.
Do the swap yourself if you like.
Unless you get one with the right mileage the extra cost drives the cost of a cluster swap up beyond practical in most cases.
Some of the vendors on e-bay can set mileage and include it with the cluster.

Chris

And while this is great info, I don't know anyone actually will do it. My dealer won't and I don't know of any speedometer shops. I'd rather do this fairly local if I can (seeing as I can't move my truck while it's out to keep the re-set mileage correct). So for anyone who's done this, who will do this?
I know that many people have done this, and I'd love to join the crowd!
Thanks everybody!
