Thats crazy having no rear facing vents. Mine dont have the cooling issue so not really an issue for me. Takes about as long as our RR Sport and Merc to get cool and both of them are much smaller vehicles inside. I sometimes even ahem to turn mine up because of the humidity and condenstation coming from vents but most times mines is left on about 72f when its about 98-100f outside lately.

Takereasy,

Mine obviously has this issue too. Your test was great. There is a problem. But, you are rigth, the dealers won't do anything because they say it is "normal". It is totol BS if you ask me.

A/C still sucks in the f-150. Absolute junk.

I figured out why it sucks. That is because the compressor is cycling on and off 5 times every minute. In 80 degree weather, its not a big deal. In 100 degree weather, it can't keep up. I can feel the temp change everytime it cycles on and off.

Now, does anyone know how to get the compressor to run all the time? That would solve the issue.

Interesting. Maybe we could hardware an override switch in the cabin.

But the new question is, what kind of stress will be put on the various systems by doing so ie electrical.

My A/C seems to do just fine, typically keep it set to 70-72, if I need to cooldown fairly quickly I just drop it down to 65-68. Maybe Ford made some adjustments? Mine was built in June 2013.

Even my '02 a/c is not good, compared to my other vehicles. My '93 Dakota a/c is great. I don't like Ford's automatic controls.
