Had it not been for adding niceties years back, we'd still be riding around with no heat and no A/C. You don't want it, don't buy it. Some people can afford it and do want it. Me, I don't need no stinking heated steering wheel, but would love some heated seats!

Heated steering wheel is really an awesome option IMO. My parents got a new Dodge (don't need to say anything about that, I just got a F150) back in December, and I drove it to dinner on Christmas Eve and wow that heating steering wheel was great. Thought about it every cold morning of the winter after that. Granted they live in southern Alabama and I live in Florida. It still gets very cold (especially this winter) sometimes, but nobody wears gloves around here. Heck I wear flip flops in winter, as many other people around here do. However, I've always had problems with my hands getting painfully cold (bad circulation I'm guessing) so heating steering wheel is a very nice convenience to me. And for the record in the summer, I don't even use A/C in my truck unless I can't roll down my windows because it's raining. And I don't even use A/C in my apartment during the Florida summers either. Just my two cents.
