Has anyone had issues with their LED lights staying on very dimly after the swap? My front map bulbs stay on very dimly all the time, even after I lock the truck and come back after 5 minutes. Anyone else had this problem?
Regards,
Andreas

i noticed from time to time. my rear one stays on , probably the dimming ckt leaking enough to cause an LED to light but not a filliment bulb.
could be an issue for some who dont drive their truck every day. i know a guy who has a 09 plat and keeps it on a tender. or the batt will go dead. he has 7K on his , and i have 50K . they are about 2 weeks apart. i bought it to drive it.

he also used to keep the keys in the ignition , which keeps some modules alive. from what i have been told

No issues with mine after two plus years. Maybe you didn't get a good bulb. I got mine from VLeds.

I got mine from VLeds as well. I'm afraid they will burn out prematurely because of the low voltage going to them.

Bad bulb? How old are they? Are they direct replacements (i.e. swapped a 194 for a 194)? Did you contact Vled? I don't think low volatge would cause the bulb to stay on - they are made to accept the voltage difference.

I think when that happens you need a LED with a resistor built in.

So I have a 2011 Supercrew with sunroof. I'm looking to do my dome, map lights, etc and the license plate bulbs. Should I get them from VLEDs or SuperBright? If so which ones?

I'm looking at these right now and think these are correct. How many do I need of each?

I'd like to find this in 5,000K. I couldn't find it on the website.

I appreciate the help in advance!!

If you have the SCREW with sunroof then for the front you need 2 bulbs - (194) for the maps and 1 bulb - (211) for the dome. For the rear you need 3 bulbs - (211) for the maps and dome, the rear uses all the same. Double check the bulb counts because I am not 100% positive with the sunroof. Just look and see how many bulbs you actually have.

For the license plate you need 2 bulbs - (194 angled flank style).

If you are going to do the license plate then you might as well do the cargo lights. They usually come on when you unlock the truck with the fob. You need 2 bulbs (921) for the cargo lights.

You can get them from V-leds or superbrightleds. They both have excellent customer service and shipping IMO. They both offer everything you are looking for in either 6k(slight blue hint) that is not even noticeable or 5k(pure white). I went with the 6k for all. V-leds has higher prices but I personally like the quality of their bulbs better. I got my cargos from superbrightleds and they are nice too but they just didn't look like they were made as well to me.

Here is a link to my thread if you want to see what the 6k look like.

To the person with the LEDs staying on, check to see if there is voltage with a DMM.

Here is what I ordered just to help anyone else out. I have a 2011 F150 FX4 with the Sunroof and this is what I needed. Kind of surprising that the rear dome only has one bulb in my truck. Thought they had three.

Front Dome Lights 5000K (1 Pair)

Rear Dome Light 5000K (1 Bulb)

License Plate Bulbs 5000K (1 Pair)

That is why I told you to double check. You bought too many bulbs silly head.

I'm sure you could sell those 2 extra on here in no time.

1 - 194_6_FA_W_6K (Rear Plate!)

Does anyone know what the puddle lamps are? I also will see if these will fit the wife's new explorer.
