The Betty Project

I finally got the correct fender and molding. I removed the wheel well. I pulled the dented fender off taking care of the antenna. I replaced the fender with the same color fender from a lariat, took her to the car wash and shined her up! Now I'm looking for the upper valance for my 04 Fx4 new body style!

Got new shoes for the truck. I went from Pro Comp 285/70/17

To Duratrac 315/70/17

Had to trim a little plastic but so far I love it.
She's a little dirty, I know. That's what happens when you live off a dirt road in NC.

You have a trashed front end so you started with aftermarket headlamps. I'm kind of lost but I guess you needed headlamps eventually.

No, I started with replacing the tie rod, crankshaft position sensor and control arm with salvage parts. Awaiting the new parts to get here so I can revisit it with the new parts and both sides done. Then I got to bumper, tires, wheels, fender and working my way around the truck.

The headlamps came in to play when it only came with one, dysfunctional headlamp and the aftermarket inverters were sticking out. But sure you could say I started with the headlamps

DDM Tuning 4300K 35W Hids for the Fogs to match the headlights, DDM Tuning LED's For the reverse bulbs, DDM Tuning LED's for the license plate, and Recon smoked LED 3rd brake light. pretty excited on how everything turned out. all i need to do now are the Turn Signals and brake lights.

I had Safelite replace my original windshield yesterday. It had a few stone hits and it recently started a nearly corner to corner creep-crack. Thankfully it was on the lower half of the WS, so it wasn't in my drivers eye.

Changed out my rear rotors and pads today. Almost 100k out of the original pads and rotors. Was a straightforward and easy job.

Braking at high speeds is SO much smoother now.

Is that one gray? Or is it the black textured kind that comes on the xl? If the latter, unfortunately you can't paint it to match. Though, at least that gap is filled!

Can you post a pic of it during the day time?

cut the wire under the column that is resposible for the key in ignition chime. there is one black and pink wire thats sole purpose is to make the truck ding when you leave the key in it. it still dings when headlights are left on, ect. should have done that a long time ago. i have the key pad in the door so im constantly leaving my keys in the ignition.
