Front pumpkin is just slang for the front differential on a 4x4. I'm glad too! But don't try to keep up, cause that's what got me sucked into this! And stay away from instagram too

Even if I had a girlfriend right now, it ain't her money! Haha. But y'all must be more serious if her input would be considered.

Helped install the 2.5'' Rough Country leveling kit on a buddy's 2011 ecoBoost and it's amazing how much better the 04-14 trucks look without so much rake. I'll be doing the same to my 2007 before the end of the year, probably around the time to get new rubber. KMAC, I may have missed it, but what kind of tires are you looking to go with? A/Ts, X A/Ts or M/Ts? Always interested to hear what people go with based on their driving habits.

I'm getting Nitto Trail Grappler MTs for my pavement princess that has seen mud once in 2+ years haha. I may opt for Cooper STTs cause they're $250 cheaper, but I doubt it. I just don't like the looks of non-mud tires, even though I have zero use for them.

Well it's a lot of money to part ways with, and I still need to regear and get a new front bumper lol. That's understandable with the girl.

That's the whole debate I find myself having. There are so few A/T tires that look worth a crap these days. I live in the city (for now), but trips to my farm almost make me sick by having Bridgestone Duelers - not even the A/T Revos. Even if I had those, for the price you might as well get an M/T. Personnally, I love the look of the Cooper Discoverer STT. Depending on your tastes, you have the option to have white letters (depending on the amount of sidewall). If I were getting tires on my truck today and on the stock rims, that's what I'd go with. Now if were going to throw a set of 20 inch XD monsters in black (just an example) I don't think you can go wrong with Nittos.

I like the Mickey Thompson ATZ and Toyo ATII Extremes, but there's barely any cost savings, so I MIT as well get what I really want.

My biggest gripe with the Coopers is actually the looks of them. I love the tread design, but really don't like the sidewalls. I actually hate the sidewall design of every single tire Cooper makes. Other than that, I'd get them. They might be (depends) American made and are less expensive. I've considered getting super cheap 35s, and would prefer used ones with maybe 20k miles left, cause I know I'm gonna want 37s eventually and I barely drive 7-10k miles a year.

When it comes to ATs, the Falken tire actually has a decent looking sidewall. The same can be said for the Goodyear DuraTrac, although I don't know how many sizes that tire actually comes in as you go bigger. Mickey Thompson ATZs are a great tire IMO if you're looking for some kind of on/off road compromise. I knew a guy that threw them in a 35'' under a duramax and they seemed to hold up well to on-road driving. It's basically a crapshoot when it comes to tire choices. Go with what you know about and like has been my approach.

I agree. I know Nitto/Toyo MTs are good, though expensive, so I guess I'm just gonna go with those. I'm fine risking it on $800 tires, but not $1700 ones. Falkens' tread design looks like crap and they don't last very long IMO. I like Duratracs, but they're practically a MT and are quite pricey.

I second the Duratracs. I've seen them used on farm trucks and on paved roads and they seem to being pretty good. I'd probably get them when I need some new tires for my truck. They look pretty sick with some Raptors sitting on them

For the girl I do have a plan though. I can usually get my way of getting something for the truck when she's busy looking at her own little something. Its hard for her to stay mad at me while wearing her new earrings or something along that line

Girlfriends consume mod money, so that's not allowed! Get them away

No problem, however it is going to be a while. I need to pretty much overhaul the outside of the long block on my Saturn and get it through inspection / back on the road before I pull the truck that far apart... That is unless I decide to hire the job out for once.. Real tempted to do that.

I love your signature! That's how I drive rental cars... For what it's worth I do NOT recommend buying the dark green 2014 Jeep Patriot from the rental lot in Texas City...

Not that anyone here would care, but I just saw an article on fourwheeler.com about the new power wagon and noticed in the pictures that the tires on that mexican mule were none other than the goodyear duratracs.

This.

Get the nice M/Ts. 52k miles from my previous Toyos. 4yrs worth of travel. I thought I would have needed tires by the 2nd year. Very well pleased that I bought the expensive tires. I feel no guilt in doing it this time round with the Trail Grappler's either, except I only have put 1500 miles on them since December!
