Dang, I didn't know that either! Good advice, John, thanks.

I'm getting an oil change and I'm gonna wash her; does that count?

Pulled my sub out because it was rattling like crazy and realized that it is blown... time to get a new one.

Took off the chrome running boards, cleaned them and plasti dipped them. Wanted to see how the all black would look for when I get some nfabs whenever that happens. Also redid the handles because they were faded, I'll see how long that lasts me. I also did the gas cover for fun. Also took a few shots at the lake.

I have the gloss plasti dip and I put it on the running boards but I didn't like the way it looked. It looked more like black and grey mixed. You can kind of tell by looking at the grips (no gloss) and the running boards they're on.

Also the only thing left that's still faded is the wiper cowl. Should I go with plasti dip on that or use some rustolem black instead? Which would be better for that? Also I haven't looked yet so it could be simple but how do I take it off the truck?

@greentitan05: I need to do the same thing. Here's a DIY I found, maybe it will help you too: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ar...6k-waring.html Good luck!

Well I installed some LED daylight running lights on my truck this weekend and I had a short this morning at 4:30am and the lights on my instrument cluster went out. So today I found the short and had to replace a blown fuse and now up and running 100% (knock on wood).

No problem, I helped on my trucks new paint and learned a few things myself.
My friend Kevin's shop has won all kinds of awards for their paint jobs. Just paying it forward.

If it's plastic, I used Fusion on mine with really good results. I cleaned it with acetone then sprayed it. No primer required.

Road force balance, clocked tire, rotation.

Found one tire really out. Probably stuck with it so moved to left rear for now...

Huh, it made my white PD look 10x better. Could always PTM the door handles too. Love how mine look, just a lot of work.

Mine cowl looks horrible too.

KMAC: I thought about doing PTM but I figured black would look good. The black and green are balancing out nicely now. Gonna add some glossy pillars soon then all that's left chrome on the truck are the badges. Need to get some 09+ Lariats but not many people are selling those apparently. Also saving up for a custom Triton badge from Billet Badges.

Also I think the gloss looks better for you because its on white so you only see the shine of the gloss but on my black it appeared grey.

Usually clear will look like that on every color, including white, when it's applied too thick. Not saying that's what you did, but it's possible. I've had that happen to me.

Are you looking for the 09+ badges for less than full retail? Cause Tasca and Ford always have them available, obviously.
