Got the rears on, and then the rain started. I do NOT want to break in these new brakes in the rain!

Not a bad weekend really. So far I have the trim work in the dining room finished, all the bleed through spots where the original paint color didn't quite get covered well enough repainted, and all the painting / drywall stuff out of the dining room. It, well looks like a dining room again!

Got front and rear brakes done on the truck, AND got a couple of study hours for my next certification exam done.

This used to be a whole lot easier when I was in my 20s that is for sure!

***UPDATE***
The rain let up and I have the break in done per the Powerstop recommendations. Or at least as close as I can get without running stop signs, stop lights, and plowing over neighborhood kids... Taken to a little used farm road and stand on the brake pedal and this thing stops on a dime and spits back 6 cents change... Niiiice....

I did my first burnout (on my stock wheels with average tires) on a closed road!

Not sure what happened but the pics from my last post disappeared so I'll try this. Here is my most recent mods. Window tint 35% on front side windows, clear blue on entire windshield, 35% sun strip. And custom rock sliders.

Thank you! You should try and get a hold of Mike at BAS Offroad (they are on line, located in southern CA). He might be able to fab you a set and mail them to you. Not sure what postage would cost for something like that. I know he was the cheapest I could find.

Sorry

As you should see,

Also, I have a true plastic surround this time around so I can throw your old grille on it. The sanded chrome didn't hold up in a thunderstorm down the highway behind a fedex semi for a couple minutes at 70 mph

Did the gotts mod, put fresh headlights in, installed my amp research bed extender, gave the interior a good detail, installed a pioneer appradio 3 HU w/ kicker components in the front, kicker two channels in the rear and a rockford prime 600w 5 channel amp. vary happy with the sound quality after I put dynapad along the rear of the cab to deaden the (too noisy) exhaust. Oh and I cleaned up the throttle body while doing the gotts mod. I gotta say wherever I read how to clear a flooded engine was a life saver!!! I went to drive over to the beach and the starter turned over and over; I had a wtf moment and remembered to put the pedel to the floor then turn the key. The truck fired right up and cleared everything out!! Thanks, I got to go the beach again because of this forum!!!! I'll take some photos tomorrow.
