Official what did you do to your truck today thread.
I know they aren't exactly popular among this group, but hey, I like them, and it's my truck...
My Dashmat came in. The dash has cracked (should have had the thing in there earlier!). It is in Mocha, and already looks like a really good match for the interior trim.
The installation instructions say to lay it flat overnight, which I did, and it still is. Will probably install it tonight. Per the instructions I still need to wipe the dash down with alcohol wipes / prep pads.
I know these aren't that popular here, I doubt I have seen anyone else on the forums with one, but I guess after having dash pads crack within 5 years too many times, I gained a taste for these dash protectors...
I am looking at my budget right now. I might be able to squeeze in the winch mount / brush guard this or at least next pay period. Will be nice to finally mount up my winch and put the Pro Comp lights back on! I am busting my behind to get ready for deer season / off road trips starting just after Halloween...

You can say that again! Popular or not, it's your truck and if you like it, rock it! Forget about what anybody else might say. I'm sure a dash mat will look a lot better then a cracked dash any day.
Installed new brakes from max advanced brakes (drilled and slotted) with ceramic pads front and rear. Black zinc coated. Like the look.
All map and dome lights swapped to led.
And also sorted my light cam phaser noise with new solenoids.
Now just going to scratch remove and polish the truck.

The truck looks way better with the rims polished up, although they aren't 100%, it looks tond better than it did before. Spent some quality time with a grinder and a can of primer brinding down the bumps on the inner fender lip the tires have been rubbing on. It is an ever so slight rub at full compression, but it is a sore nerve for me.
I installed, but need to adjust the installation of the dashmat. Looks tons better than that crack that ticks me off, but it also isn't quite perfect.
The detail shop I initially tried but WAY too much tire dressing on, and lacking flares, the dressing got flung out of all over the side of the truck.

So far today, adjusted the dash mat, it is laying smooth and pretty close to where I want it, although the hole for the security light isn't quite where it should be. This is going to sound funny, but my dash has had a very slight groaning noise since day one, never bothered me but I noticed after the crack appeared the groaning stopped, and there is about a 3/32" bap between faces of the crack. I am thinking a manufacturing defect finally gave up.
I also, last night though not today, cleaned the junk out of the center console, and glove box. It is shocking how much garbage builds up in those places, and under the seats...

Swapped in a new battery and replaced my factory head unit with a Sony CDX-GT700HD that my brother took out of his truck when he sold it. Sounds way better now. Plus free is always good.
Crawled under it last night and adjusted the Quicklift to level 6 firmness. That pretty much stopped the nose diving, and seems to be minimizing the vibration. I still need to get that parking brake checked, and road force balance those tires!
Filled it up again. :-( The good thing is that I am starting with the Techron treatment trying to get ready for the upcoming plug change. I am at almost 93K right now. I figure I have a vacation I am taking the truck on in November, I will run Techron on each fill up through that vacation, and then do the plug change after we get back. That should give me a great opportunity to get the plugs as clean as the Techron can get them... Meanwhile I keep an eye out for a Lisle tool...
The plates here are 3 letters and 3 digits. Mine starts with FML.
But for the WIN today. I winched in a 2000 pound bull moose and hauled it home. In one piece. Sorry, no pics.

Ordered the winch mount / brush guard. Need to set the winch back to the stock config. I had longer cables swapped in for a remote relay configuration when I was thinking of mounting it behind the bumper and found serious clearance problems without a body lift...
Once it is all together and working, I will stab the Pro Comp lights on the new brush guard and probably hit the tube steps with a wire wheel, some evaporust, and some Por15. I am getting some rust bubbling on them... I don't really want to replace them since the vendor no longer makes this type, and I haven't seen many others I like...
Also looking around at different flares. I really don't care for the modern Bushwacker / monter flare styles out there, I rather like the basic old rubber flares from back in the day as it were, but the problem with them is color. I can live with the black Pacer basic flares, but can my wife? She made me put Hello Kitty floor mats, steering wheel cover, and seat covers in our Saturn. Maybe I shouldn't give her a choice in this...

The Cowl Ends came in yesterday. I started getting after the black plastics with what I had left of Showroom New, and ran out. Time to order a new bottle of the stuff. I can't be too unhappy about it. I last applied the stuff 4 years ago...
Once I get the Showroom New in, I will finish the plastics projects. So much to do, so little time...
