Official what did you do to your truck today thread.
I miss the look it had with the Leer 700 but thats because it paint matched the bed rail covers technically. But dust still built up in the bed horribly. Its been off for about 2 months now. Would love a bak-flip cover. I like having a bed cover but the Leer 700 is a bit much as far as stow away and haul goes.
I agree it gives it that finished look. Clean and all but when you have to climb and grab stuff its not the most practical. My next truck is definitely not getting a cover, something more like a bak- or what John has
Made the best of life giving me lemons lol
I intended to buy the 3157 chrome turn signal bulbs but ended up with the 194 instead, which DOES NOT work in the turn signal outlet. So I pulled my headlights, and installed the chrome 194s in the corner reflectors to replace the factory 194s. Can't tell the difference this far, but I wasn't gonna waste $8 because I can't read lol

Finally pulled out the Rancho Quiklifts and RS9000XL shocks from where I stashed them and got to installing them on the truck with my buddy. Install went alright and the truck looks great. Used a pitman arm puller and left the upper ball joint nut on the passenger side. This F'd everything up and set us back a couple hours because the nut would not come off. Had to go buy some tools I didn't have but I guess I got them now right? Drivers side we set up the floor jack and ratched strapped the rotor, removed the nut and hit it with a hammer, popped off nice and gently. Much better method IMO.
The front before was 37 1/4" from ground to center fender flare, after install and alignment it now sits right at 39". Not exactly 2.5"s but the rear is 39 1/2 from the ground and it looks perfect to me. Very well leveled.
After install. This is prior to alignment, and the bed was half full of mulch so the front end is nose high.

Bed empty, and front end aligned. Sitting 39" up front, 39 1/2 in back. Perfect! Again, wasn't a true 2.5", but in my case thats great!

Next set of tires will be 295/60-20 Nitto Trails ( 34.5x12 ). Not till these Toyos wear out more though, 51,000 miles and still going!
I was planning to throw in the Moog UCAs and lower ball joints while everything was torn apart, but during this project I wrecked my DD the next morning and totaled it, so I had to slap the truck back together immediately and aligned a few days later. I was stupid and was going a tad too fast into a left merging turn, Ended up in a field. By I was stupid, I should define, I wasn't screwibng around, I was going 15 over the speed limit after it had rained hard. Bad tires and a rushed mind, bad combination.

Wasn't even that rough of a landing, car is worth $4500, estimate claims $6990 in damages! I walked away with a bruised forearm from the air bag. Was such a high intense level I didn't even feel the air bag. Walked away lucky! Thanks God I appreciate it!

Glad to hear you are ok, D. Too bad about the DD but like my folks always say, "we can replace the car/truck/etc but we couldn't replace you". Just remember those left hand turns are tricky
