I just clocked over 100,000 miles so I replace my 2.5 AS with Rancho Quicklifts plus new rotors and pads front and rear, new hubs/bearings, new 4wd actuators and CV axles, new upper control arms, new sway bar links.

I did not realize how bad my trucks ride had gotten. The quicklifts ride are so much better than the worn out stock struts and with the other parts my 4wd now engages properly and the steering feels so much tighter and somoother.

Finished installing a new engine (5.4) a few days ago. But have been chasing an exhaust leak. Engine fired right up after priming the fuel system a couple times. Awesome. That baby idles super smooth. However when accelerating or loading the engine at a standstill there is a very noticeable exhaust leak.

The reman engine did come with new studs pre-installed. I used new nuts and lock washers...except on the manifold collector to cat connection.

At first I tried retightening all exhaust nuts which seemed to help. Noise was reduced. During later test drives I ended up loosening everything and cinching back down in different orders, and was unsuccessful. Dang it.

The cat to manifold connection is not sitting "exactly" where it was previously....but it is really . Like I'm talking about 1mm or less.

So I'm gonna have to enlist the help of a mechanic shop to see what tricks they know of.

Truck looks better without the topper on it Darren, took mine off and realized how much I really didn't need it. Granted I haven't gotten into a road trip yet.

Looks good Darren! You guys should get one like me. Tonneau Pro Trip fold. 269 off auto anything. I hated the fiberglass one that came with my truck
