I got my emblems a few months ago, and finally got around to working on it this weekend. I started with the tailgate and with the fishing string and the 90 degree weather it pealed off easy. Most of the adheasive rolled right off, but I used the 3m adheasive remover on the rest. The only thing is now it looks dull where the old badge was. My question is what can I do before putting on the new badge to get rid of that haze. I was afraid to compound or wax it in fear the new badge wont stick. I didnt even get into the fenders until Im sure this haze can be fixed. I also realized I have the tailgate badge from a styleside instead of the flairside, so the pins are wrong. looks like Im ordering a new tailgate badge. Any help on the haze issue would be great. MarkIII.. The alignment pegs have to be sawed off and sanded cuz they don't line up.. Post pics when u do it! Should look SWEET

 

How much were these?

 

If I get the bvadges from the flairside, the pins will line up. You have to go back and read some older posts. My big concern is the dull haze around the edge of where the old badge was. What can I do to fix that before i put on the new one. The cost was around 75.00 for all three I think. Thanks
