they apprear to be the same size in the parts catalog but hard to tell but has a strip coming off right side that says XL,XLT etc etc.

Yeah guys, the fender ones are larger. I got mine last week and they much bigger than the 04-08 badges on the fender. Now the tailgate one that you have is about the same size as the old ones, but like stated don't cover the holes on the fender.

The 09 fender badges are 12" long

I'll post pictures in a while.

 

Have you already put them on your fenders? yes please post pics! I want to know if the fender ones will be what i want to order. May still put the tailgate one one on the tailgate.

 

No, I have not put them on yet. But the pins do line up with the old ones.

I like the idea of the F150 only, but did not order because of the unknown. I know the flareside
tailgate emblem is a different number that the styleside one. Maybe I'll order that one tomorrow to see.

 

ah i didn't think of the different tail gates! I want this to work so bad! I had thought of doing just the 08 tailgate emblems on the fenders it just says f150 but its still the big chrome block. and i already have one left over from the body shop. Well my guys said if i didn't want the other 2 they would put them in stock. I already "modded" the one i got to see if it will fit. If nothing else i might just put it on the tail gate and order the 09 fender emblems for the XLT. Sure wish they had one that said FX2.

 

It's all about trial and error. I need to order a left side one first, I ended up with two right sides. ( dumb parts guy, oh wait that's me )

Anyways, I'll get back about the flareside tailgate one and see how it looks.

Drail and myself have been ordering from work. As we both work at dealers. These are the factory emblems that can be ordered at any dealer or online at select Ford online dealers like Tasca.

hey mach1 does your parts catalog show a listing for the 5.4l? Ours only shows 4.6l. I assume instead of lariat it would say. 5.4 xlt?
