I know people have had success with getting this key to work, but I had two that wouldn't even turn in the ignition. They were programmed and opened the doors and all, but once they were cut they didn't fit the ignition properly. Even if they were not programmed correctly and there was a problem with the PATS they would still turn in the ignition, correct? I'll attribute it to the moron at the Ford dealership that cut the keys. But buyer beware.

You need 2 keys to program one. I don't know any other way around it.

I would have made the dealer replace the key on them, I cannot tell you how many of us in my area have bought these keys from different vendor and out of say 30 or so have never had one not work. Sounds like maybe the delaer was cutting or programming the machine wrong. I believe the dealer machine ask for the model of vehicle it is cutting wanna bet he put in Fusion and not F150 because he saw the key.

All I know is of they had scraped 2 of mine the would have been replacing on them !!

Before I had them cut he told me he couldn't guarantee they would work on an F150. Once I figured out they didn't work I didn't bother fighting with them. I didn't purchase the keys there and the ebay vendor I purchased them from had already agreed to refund my money because he sent me "new" keys that were clearly used.

Has anyone in the Tampa Bay area had a key successfully cut around here? I'm willing to try again if I can find a cheap enough key somewhere and a reliable place to have it cut.

You might have the best luck getting a key cut right at a hardware store. When I first got my truck it only had one key so the dealership that I bought it from...not a ford dealer, took it to the nearest ford dealer(idiots) and had them cut and program a key. The thing would only work 1 way, you had to push the key in to make it turn and it was a pita, took it back to them and they said it was fine, took it back again and they cut a little bit off but didnt fix it. Took my original key into the hardware store as well as the newer key and had them trim it up, and it worked perfectly, and cost 43 cents

go to ebay and type in fusion key. The one you want is the key with the fob built into it. They make the 3 or 4 button one. -

Thats the same key I bought about a year ago, but from a different seller. The key works great and haven't had any issue with it yet.

I like the three button design since the trunk option obviously won't work on a truck. Let us know how it works out.
