Going to get it cut today. Remote works as I programmed it yesterday... now all that's left is the PATS.

That's a touchy subject.
Everytime he presses that button, his bumper falls off.

Don't know that anyone figured out how to make the trunk button do anything independently... The way the lock on my lid is configured (hard wired directly into the trucks' locks), I don't think I could do it that way...

The key is CUT (cost me $2.50 at a lock shop around the corner from my office), PROGRAMED (PATS & Remote) and is 100% functional!

Very cool key!

It rubs very slightly on the rubber surround around the keyhole/ignition but, that's minimal and definitely not rubbing to the point that you cannot use it.

Two HUGE thumbs up on this mod! Thanks to everyone for their help! Feedback left on ebay!

I think i talked to you about this, but heads-up to everyone else...

I talked to a locksmith and he advised me that the smallest amount of pressure against the tumblers may cause future problems.

It is the type of lock mechanism most vehicles have.

You mentioned it I believe... you also mentioned that you trimmed yours or otherwise modified? Can you share your method?

Remote start and the fusion key don't mix. I have a Fusion and in order to get remote start to work, I have to give up my bada$$ little key and go with a key plus a fob. Give 'em time - they'll come up with a way to integrate it all.

I am not a locksmith. But i dont think the rubbing will hurt anything. It only rubs just a bit, when you turn the key. When it is in the on position, which it is most of the time you are in the vechile, it doesn't even touch rubber surround.

I myself am not the least bit worried about it damaging the lock over time.

When you turn the key is when you actually roll the pins, which is where the damage would be caused. Being stationary in the lock assy is fine. But if you get in and out of your truck and average 2000 miles a month it wasn't an option to risk my lock cylinder.

How "off" are we talking here? I really can't imagine this being THAT big of a deal.
