I agree.

What is with these Nissan Titan guys coming to a F-150 forum and calling F-150 owners douches and idiots? I thought this discussion was "civil". Yeah right.

Who cares if you own the whole Ford fleet? Its one thing to come over here to discuss the positive aspects of F150's but it is quite another to slam F150's and their owners. With those statements you are adding fuel to the fire and doing your part to change a civil conversation to all out name calling. By now it should only take a few more posts before it will become impossible to have a discussion about this topic because most members of this website will not extend a warm reception to non-enthusiats.

Minus one.

Other Titan guys... I've been more than lienant about this thread. If this same thread was on 'another' message board, it would've been snubbed and everyone that joined to post within it would've been immediately dismissed.

I'm going to let it stay open but I won't tolerate commentation along the lines of wurk4's. You're in our house.

Vehicle Sales Profits
Ford = Stay in the USA
Nissan = Go back to Japan

Winner = Ford

That is the only reason I need to buy a Ford over a Japanese truck. I didn't buy my truck so it could win a stoplight to stoplight race. If I did, I would have bought a Lightning and then pully, chip, and port the blower. I think people in this country need to get their priorities straight.

Im going to put this thread to rest. Yes the drive-train is better.

Ford needs to come out with a better motor, 5 or 6 speed transmission, and a option for a rear locker in the Lariat and FX4.

Now only if Ford could get this threw their big heads. .

I've driven a Titan, my Grandpa owns one. The only reason he bought it was cause he got a GREAT deal on it (Paid 12,000 after trading in his 1999 GMC 1500). Yes it's fast (even with the bed loaded with tools) and sounds good, but the ride sucks IMO. I did like the big mirrors, but the A pillar was so damn wide, it was hard to see when making a turn. Also, for some reason, I could not get comfortable in that truck. I'll stick with my Ford

So ou really care about who's pockets your lining? The f150 is losing ford money, thats why they are cutting production, and in the process of offering early buyouts. The titan is built in america, and pays the blue collar guy just as much as the f150. They are both great trucks, but lets judge them for what they are, not the nationality of the bigwigs in the leather office chairs. Besides, nissan is under direction of a brazillian, and partially owned by renault, the french. Its a multicultural thing. The ford is a great truck, i got a bad apple, but not bad enough to lemon law. Josiah is a great example of a ford owner to represent you guys in the titan community. he was welcomed into the forum. and not to start anything, but RockPick, weren't the ford guys really the ones that started escalating things here. mattineer and rocky werent exactly courteous. if you ask most titan guys, theywill admit that ford has its advantages, a lot less bias than you guys have towards the nissan.

Rob, it's much more than that bro. It's not just about the blue collar guy bulding the truck. The reasons why Ford are having trouble are many, however the largest one is people are buying foreign automobiles and turning their backs on our own country. When the profits go across the pond, the corporate capital expenditures are not being spent in this country. Ford and GM spend many many millions more in capital dollars in this country every year that have a dramatic impact and help drive the economy. This is a simple fact that cannot be denied. People need to look at the entire picture, not the same old weak argument that the foreign vehicle is built on our soil.

Toyota USA is owned by Toyota. They are not seperately traded companies.

There was a big deal on this about a year ago on 20/20 or some show like that. Nissan ,Toyota, and Honda put as much money in the US as Ford and Chevy and yes it does stay here. The Titan was designed here and built here. The parts for a titan are 80% made in america a Chevy is 60% dont know what the ford is. So as far as that goes it is not the 70,s no more times have changed. And we do have Ford and Dodge guys on our forum. And nobody acts like some of the guys on here. I drove our company ford today, its the Lariet, some thigs I like about and some I don't. One thing that bothers me is the small windows in the front doors. Do yall think they are small or am I just used to the titans?
