My F150 gets me from point A to point B without any troubles. It's not fast but it has plenty of power for me. The leather is comfortable, there's plenty of room and it won't get stuck in the mud. Titans are nice trucks, they'll get you where your going as well. It's all a matter of opinions. Most vehicles these days will last quite awhile if you keep the oil and filter changed, etc.

Before I bought my F-150 I did a lot of research. I researched the Toyota, Chevrolet, Nissan, Dodge, and of course the Ford.

After test driving all of the vehicles, I had narrowed my choices down to the Nissan Titan, and the Ford F-150. The Nissan dealer actually let me take the Titan home for 2 days. I liked it. It was fast, sounded good, and the interior was nice. Thing is... the damn thing only gets about 13-14 mpgs AT BEST. I mean the gas mileage was terrible. Also, I got to thinking.... parts for this thing are going to be outrageous. And I was right. Go to a Nissan dealership and price you a set of Brake Rotors. I promise you, that you will be happier with Ford's price.

Overall the Ford is smoother riding, it gets better gas mileage, and it cost A LOT less. Not just in base price, but in parts as well. I am also told by a former Titan owner that the Ford is A LOT more durable than his Titan was.

I like both trucks, they are in my opinion, the leaders in the market. However, I think with the F-150, you are getting more bang with your buck, so to speak.

Were going to have so much troll activity now with all these trolls joining this forum.

I for once test drove a Titan and hated every last bit of it. The Interior is very cheep, Styling is very butt ugly, and I felt like a girl driving around in a Nissan as a truck. Nissan and truck do not go well together at all, very embarrassing to put those two together, let a lone drive in one.

Once again, this is a FORD forum.. go away trolls!
this thead was going fine untill u got here. just keep out of it.

Titan owners should just watch all of this and see what they gotta say.

But anyways, I don't mean to be biased or bashing on the Titan. I actually like it and notice its good qualities. The interior is very nice, I like the center console a lot. And again, the Titan will definately smoke my F-150 in a straightaway race anyday.

With the rare exception I would think that most people had at least one more good reason to lean towards the F150 over the Titan. That point should be completely obvious as this is f150online.com and not f150vstitan.com. Obviously the Titan has it stand out features just as the F150 does and everyone should be able to realize that. I am suprised the conversation has stayed as civil as it has so far. I am a bit confused as to why people who drive Titans for their personal vehicles would hang around a F150 enthusiast website. I understand that you may have F150 work vehicles and may need occasional help with an issue or two or even just a curious question but it still seems strange to me.

I agree. The mods should step in. At the very least this Nissan thread should be moved to the "other models" forum.

You can thank Josiah for that, he joined titantalk.com... Don't complain though, it has been a very civil thread.

The driving factor for some of Ford people, whether they will admit it or not, is the price point. I am not saying all of you, but some. Think about it, a loaded Lariat or FX4 for less than an SE Titan. I personally bought on price, and now regret that decision. I thought I made the right call, was happy with the truck, but now I have squeaks, rattles, and clunks. MPG depends on who's driving it and how. Josiah getting 23 MPG, who else on here has done that. He uses the sweet spot. Titan guys are generally getting in the high teens, from what my customers tell me, and that isn't bad considering most of them are lead footed, that exhaust just begs to growl. They both have their pros and cons. Titan has ground clearance, F150 has turning radius, Titan has HP and TQ, F150 has... well, I guess I ran out for you Ford guys, lol. Just kidding. Really though, you can love your F150, but you have to admit, the Titan is a great truck. Of course it has some issues, but come on, go back to when Ford first introduced a full size truck, I bet they had problems too. Nissan has done a great job with this truck. The topic of this thread wasn't "Oh my god, everyone trade in you Ford's for Nissan's", it was just ArizonaThumper stating he thought the Nissan was a good truck. It's late, I am tired, and pretty sure this turned into rambling and incoherency somewhere... 'night all!

Just last week someone posted about getting 23mpg at 65mph+/-, I had to travel at 54-55mph so it's vehicle specific, on top of how you drive it so I agree with you there. I am always adjusting with the cruise up and down controls to keep well within the sweetspot on my way to class, it's a commute worth saving money over. After all the mods I've put in I'd think I'd be flooring it everywhere, quite the opposite but I do get on it for occasional big 3 (now big 4 if you ask me). Titan boys, don't base your opinion of us off Mountainqueer...he's..."special"...but I bet I didn't have to tell you that.

As for a pulloff, I know a few of us on here would be game. Let us ravish in our obesity. Any norcal titans up for a friendly pulloff? I have nothing against Titans and have often admired the little stuff, nice trucks. The Titan and Hemi were the only others I even considered. As far as I'm concerned, you are welcome here.

Let's get real. The Nissan Titan is not a real full size work truck. It only has the short bed and a crewcab with a 5.5' bed - a complete joke. Ford always made the best pick-ups on this planet, real work trucks for men who do serious jobs. Nissan is just a pretender the throne.

What are you using to find this sweetspot? The readout on the dash, scantool, or something else?

Why don't you just say I know you are but what am I? If you want to talk to Titan owners go to their forum. This is a F-150 owners forum.
