SEARCH!
This option has been discussed many thousands of times since I have been a member here in Summer 2004. It takes 30 seconds to search the site, and be done. If you can't use the search function, you shouldnt be posting here, IMO.

Normally I would agree with you. However there have been a number of times I have used the search and come up with nothing. And I do know how to use it.

It's an easy job. Huge debates on which window power to use. The switches can be mounted several dozen places. The door panel swap will work but gets expensive. See my classified for a door panel if you want to see what that involves.
Simplest method is what I used. Colibri kit (search under Colibri for lots of hits) with switches mounted flanking the cigar lighter. Spal kits seem to slow on the windows. My Colibri motors move fast enough but I put express up and down on them so I wouldn't notice if they were slow.
Power door locks is a snap. I have installed Crimestopper kits on these trucks, and that can be done in a relaxed Saturday morning. Putting a Ford Dealer installed type in take longer and you need to add relays but still not a major job.
If you decide to do both jobs do them at the same time.
Biggest problem in these trucks is some truck, mostly 4x4, have a white block on the body side of the door jamb wire boot. That is a BEAR to work with. Those of us that just have a simple rubber boot that pulls apart at both ends putting stuff in the doors is a snap.
Search under ‘white block' for those problems.
Keyless remote is one of the essentials to add in my opinion. If you are used to keyless going back to a key is almost impossible.
Chris
Among other mods to my STX;
Ford deluxe Alarm/Keyless.
Tailgate lock hooked to keyless.
‘Trunk lock’ on my front panel of my Folding tonneau cover.
Colibri power windows.
Express up and down Ford modules on the power windows.
Keyless keypad in drivers handle.

Sorry to be a snot, but your combative attitude was not comensurate with an adequate search effort on your part. Welcome to the forums, there are a lot of very nice people here (including me, usually,) who are very willing to help you accomplish things like this. It doesn't build a lot of confidence in your abilities, however, when you say "I tried" with what appears to be a very feeble attempt.

Normally, I would be inclined to agree with you. However the evidence fails to support your assertion. This forum is a rich resource for all things F-150, and with the current model out for 3 model years now, a heck of a lot of routine things have been covered, mostly to death. Additionally, you might try searching on "power locks", in case you don't find what you were looking for in the above list above.

I would have, except he implied he knew how. Obviously, he either didn't know, or try.

You know the Electric Life product seems to cost a bit more than the factory parts. And it does not include the switches, at least not in any of the ads for the EL.
Any particular reason they would be better than the stock ones?
And what switch setup do you recomend?
I am asking because I seem to get about three e-mails a week on this swap and like to have the best answers possible.
