Bye Bye Auto Spring
i cut a piece of heater hose and slit it so it goes over they control arm and tie wrapped it tight so it has a snubber effect....haven't noticed any differenc but it eliminates metal to rubber-coated spring
mslc1 I would like to see a picture of your set up, if possible.
Guys, this really sucks i just ordered the autospring 2.5 and should be getting it tomorrow! I did my research and everybody was happy with their autospring set up, so i went ahead and ordered it. Now i dont know what the #@!$ to do. I guess ill just put it on and hope for good. Im sure from all ive heard that the same thing is going to happen to my truck. I guess when it comes down to it You get what you pay for. I have a feeling that with time there are going to be many more complaining about their leveling kit.

Lessons learned (hot items everyone wanted but turned out to bite them in the ****):
So far we've got:
AF1 air intake
Leveling kits (daystar, autospring etc.)
Feel free to add your own.

Uninstalled Leveling Kit today
old news for me * I uninstalled my 1 5/8” Autospring spacers back in March because it distorted the angle of the front suspension parts way to much for my liking.

Sorry guys, but I can't help but laugh a bit...
It would be more funny if people's trucks weren't getting scuffed up a bit. At any rate, I'll take this as an apology Mr. Nut:

I went out and looked at my springs last night. I knew when i installed the auto spring kit the upper a-arm was extremely close to the spring. I can see where my a-arm is hitting the springs and this is probably due to me hitting the speed bumpers at work a little too fast....
oh well... my auto springs are there to stay. My truck looks great and there is no way I am letting the nose sag the way it came from the factory.
I would love to install a rancho kit but i think it would look a little funny with 33" tires. And I dont want to go with 35"s

Yeah, I would love to get a lift kit also, but it would look funny with 31" Generals.
I can't justify spending the money on a lift kit, new rims and tires, and re-gearing (there isn't a chance in hell that I put tires larger than 33" on without re-gearing, and even then, I still might not be happy). My truck does me just fine just about anywhere I go. But damn, those Fabtech lifts are sweet!
Maybe when she's retired to being just my light towing and general play-time vehicle...

My most sincere apology. You said you would post pics and never did, that's why I questioned your 'wear'. I'm truly sorry. Please forgive me.
I guess I didn't want to believe it was hurting anything because it looked so darned good.
