Do you know how to do that with just the relay? You better check with your dealer just to make sure they have not caned your order.

It works! And is it ever so sweet!

I got it to work with the factory switch. I will let you all know how it was done in the coming week when I can get my wife to type it up for me, it's a real pain with one good arm/hand.

2001SUPERCREW,

I'm really interested in adding the KR mirrors to my 05 Lariat, did you have any luck getting the wife to type up those instructions? The only thing holding me back is I want the factory switch instead of an aftermarket switch. Thanks

Wow, don't know where I've been but I didn't notice you got it to work. Awesome! When you can, give us the full write up? That is super cool. My bro in law has been bragging about his Avalanche PFM and I'm about ready to shut him up He can keep his Chevy. As long as we have the F150 Online board we can see that factory option and raise it a mod

Order your pfm now if you plan on doing "factory" style and seeing as how mine has been on backorder for about 4 months. Good luck

Until we get the correct info on where these dam wires really go on the relay, this project is DEAD. That's $33.00 in relays so far, I know someone took pictures (and I thank you)of the harness but we need to see the wires in relation to the relay plug.
So how did you get past this problem? I have been watching this for quite some time and I am about to hook everything up.

Eureka!! I now have (factory style) power folding mirrors on my FX4 Supercab. With just the information found on this thread you will find all the part numbers, the diagrams needed to wire in the factory power folding module, and the instructions to install the new mirrors. I say factory style because I provided the fused power supply from the battery to run the power folding feature of these mirrors. I am trying to keep my warranty valid by not breaking into the truck’s wiring harness. Everything about the install looks and operates exactly like as if it where factory installed. It is sweet!!! No more grabbing a mirror covered in sand, and slush just so I can fit through the garage door.

Some of the things that might be valuable to know are. The existing mirror control switch in my FX4 ends up being the same as the switch I ordered, I did not use the new one 5L3T 17B676-AA3JA6, all I did was add a wire to the plug at pin location 4 and it works the way it should. Another place one could save a little money is the plug for the PFM Part # 3U2Z-14S411-ASAA. The plug layout is the same as a regular 5 pin ford relay switch so you can find cheaper plugs that will fit and do the same job. When you interpret the diagram for wiring the PFM assume you are looking at the receiving side of the plug with the wires coming out of the back.

Sweet - which diagram for the wiring did you use? The original diagram did not use the factory switch. I just got my Ford PFM relay and I about to start this. Would appreciate any details... i.e... where all the wires go.

thanks

This is the diagram I was talking about

I have created a gallery with four diagrams that should help you figure it out.
