This is nuts! I honestly have never got excited about reading a thread about a swap. Mostly because I was a honda guy back in the day and theyre pretty cut and dry. I have my grandpas truck i.e. my username and I am wanting to make it either a sleeper or ext lightning clone. I was looking at the coyote swap as an option but now I am kind of floored as to the intense amount of difficulty. I was hoping the 5.4/4r100 would just pop in and Id be good to go. I was also hoping a coyote would not be as labor intensive. Ive got a book of questions for you bro. This is an old thread as most are, the forum trend kind of died out from what ive seen. This is awesome man

Much appreciated! Fire away with the questions.

The availability of control packs would significantly reduce build time compared to what I did with my truck.

When I tell people in person about your truck that like coyote swaps, they pause, mouth drop, and always go...oh wow. He did that before Gen 2 control packs? I'm like yeah.

Ohhhh wowwwww 🤣

🤣🤣

Yup Gen2 control packs were slow to the market, and then even another year and a half before there were control packs that played nicely with EPAS

Hopefully the Godzilla ones come out sooner than later. Excited to see the swaps for those. That has my interest.

I watched some of your videos after driving it and man that thing sounds great! looks like it pulls really well also. After reading up on the coyote swap vs just a 5.4 lighting. Ill most likely just go with making an ext cab lightning clone. Maybe, im sure ill change my mind a few times before I get to that point lol maybe just upgrade the 4.6 thats in it. See it already happened 🤣🤣 I would like to know what suspension set up your running though, I like the way your truck sits.

Well done!

I have a 2008 F150 Supercrew King Ranch 4x4 with 67k.
I am wondering how you got this to place nice with state inspection OBD2 requirements?

Truck is 5/7 suspension. Was LCA and coils, and hangers, shackles, and leafs out back with some frame notching as well.

Front is getting redone to coilovers and different arms,
rear got redone (in thread) to 4 link, watts links, and coilovers

sharp truck! Don't know that I've ever seen an 11th Gen configured with those same options before.

Can't disclose all the information to answer your question, but I can say I'm using my 2003 PCM still for inspection purposes.

Only a few more years until she's 25 (2028) and I won't need to fool with emissions inspections any longer. 2027 should be my last emissions test

Been a busy summer and I kinda forgot to update this thread.

Front suspension has been completely replaced and upgraded. She's now sitting on Stifflers Upper and Lower control arms, and QA1 double adjustable coilovers up front.
