I'm wondering if I should just ask them to see if the hood fits for me before I go ahead and paint it, or should I just replace it myself? Also, my 'Service Check Engine Soon' light came on, and that has never happened before, most likely it was due to the accident. I doubt it would come on for oil being over 600miles due (3,600mi's on oil now). I am going to change it though before I take it in the shop.

for your light, you can take it down to Advance Auto Parts and they can check it for free and tell you why your light is on. for the hood, grab a buddy and try to put the new one on there before you take it in. it'll probably save you some money too cuz u might get charged labor for that at the shop ha

I'll definitely take it to Advance Auto Parts tomorrow then. As for the hood all I have to do is unscrew the hinges on my stock hood, and put them on the new one and that should be it?

Yep all the advances here have the code readers. And yep, unscrew the hinges and unplug the hoodlight if u have 1. A friend jus keeps it from falling/ helps align it perfectly so there's 1 on each side.

Wow. I cant believe I missed this thread. Your truck is one of my top five favorite.

Question- What are you going to to with the valance? I've been searching hell and high water for an STX valance, so if you are thinking about parting your if you get a new one, please let me know!

Top five? That is awesome! As for your question, the lower valance (fog light) is cracked alittle bit on the driver side so I'm pretty sure that's getting replaces and of it is, they told me I'd be able to keep any parts that I want. So I'll keep you informed as well as updating the thread on the status of my truck and hood. Also, I knew I should have bought that Cobra R bumper when I got my hood.

Alright, I'll check it out. What about that liner that on the top of the hood, covering the hoses?
