I thought just the part over the odometer is bumpy and the rest of the dash has like crease lines in it?

I'm not doing it myself, since I don't trust myself doing such a large piece and hoping it doesn't fade/crack.
Also, what is a good sander to sand the bumps down? I'm asking because my subbox is like the same texture, and hand sanding it will take FOREVER! Plus, I need one to also sand down the trim/doors/other wood stuff in my house.

I can't bring myself to think I'll do a good job. My bed rails are chipping, so, I can't risk such a huge piece to start doing that.
I have a belt sander, but, it's to big for what I need it for.

i would go with an orbital sander.. i prefer dewalt myself then you just buy the discs in any grit you want

I started a quick audio thread just in case the experts don't look at this thread. I was told by Rick at RAAMmat that I don't need to cover every square inch, just do like 50% coverage and it'll still be good.
