Yeah, I'll smooth it out to match, but just won't go with any gloss. I'll just get it to match the pieces I've already painted.

Turns out the bumpy part of the dash, I already painted. So, no need to smooth the whole dash out now. All they have to do is paint it to match my paint job.

I thought just the part over the odometer is bumpy and the rest of the dash has like crease lines in it?

This would probably be cheaper, right?

I'm not doing it myself, since I don't trust myself doing such a large piece and hoping it doesn't fade/crack.

Also, what is a good sander to sand the bumps down? I'm asking because my subbox is like the same texture, and hand sanding it will take FOREVER! Plus, I need one to also sand down the trim/doors/other wood stuff in my house.

I can't bring myself to think I'll do a good job. My bed rails are chipping, so, I can't risk such a huge piece to start doing that.

I have a belt sander, but, it's to big for what I need it for.

What do you have?

What's the difference between orbital and this?

Because that is what I just bought.

This is what I've been up tonight.

I started a quick audio thread just in case the experts don't look at this thread. I was told by Rick at RAAMmat that I don't need to cover every square inch, just do like 50% coverage and it'll still be good.

Also, does anyone know where those black pieces are on the back wall? They make alot of flapping noise and it's annoying!
