Trick My Truck

I've never modified a vehicle and for some reason very into learning how to pimp my truck out. So, I found a few things I want to do to my truck and just looking for advice from the forum members here. This is what I have so far and just looking for some critics.

Projector Headlights Halo

Before

After

Euro Taillights
Before

After

Lowering and Cobra Rims (17")
Before

After

Alpine Dash
Before

After

Sorry for the terrible PS.

Additional:
Viper 5901 Responder Two-Way Security System (Hopefully soon!)
Cold Air Intake
Exhaust

Now my questions are:

1. What is a good lowering kit, I don't want it to look like I'm a gangster, but I want it to look good. I was told by blackedoutv6 that his kit is 3" and 4" from Belltech, just curious how low that is.

2. The Euro Taillights that I want, my truck taillights look huge compared to what stylinconcept's pictures of the euro headlights that I want, just curious if they would fit.

3. Cobra Rims, 17" to small? I know back home my friends always told me to get 20", but I'm looking for rims that are more matte black (no gloss).

4. Exhaust, I have no clue what I should get, I want some HP and I want a nice roar.

5. Cold Air Intake, is it worth the cash?

6. I want to get subs, but, I don't know if I want 2x10's or just 1x12 that way I have some space to place stuff behind my seats, what do you guys think? I have 4xRockford Power speakers in my truck right now.

/\ x2 However, we don't Pimp our trucks..... we MOD them. Save your cash and do the "Gotts" mod. 1 - 12" sub with the right amp should be plenty. Nice truck to start with

if you decide to do the headlights, and part with your OEMs, let me know

As for the lowering kit i'd do at least 2/4

welcome and i agree get some black or smoke lightning heads and those tails.

also do the gotts intake mod instead of a cai itll do the same for 15 bucks.

the rim size is preference. you have 17"s now and if you like that much tire than go for it but if you go lower you might want 18 or 20"s

on the exhaust you can get a dynomax bullet flow through muffler for about 40 bucks then have it installed with some tips like a lightning and be set for that.

also id run 2 10"s that what i had in my regular cab, in my ext cab now and what i set my sister truck up with(basically your truck in silver styleside) look into some kicker comp cvt shallow or pioneer premier shallow subs theyll save space

I would lower it 2/4, maybe either a anthracite wheel or even PTM wheel. Also do a lund smoked wiper cowl cover. Black out the emblems would look good. definatly do the lightning style headlights and maybe a smoked tail or LED tail.

Okay, so lower the truck and get wheels first.

How are these lightning headlights?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-01...Q5fAccessories

And I'll look into that Gotts mod. I'm just afraid I'll mess my truck up. And another thing, I have the cash to do so, and I've been craving a remote start that way when I wake up late to play soldier, I can just start my truck up and have it warmed up just in time for me to leave in a hurry.

Also Jake, the exhaust pipes to stock muffler, or a Dynomax muffler? (I've very non-vehicle smart)

17 inch wheels are way, way too small. Go with 22's.

Just say no to projectors! lol
you already have clear headlights, i think your truck would look sweet with the 04 solid amber corners, but that may not be the look youre going for...

Yes to the tails tho! However id try ordering them from ebay, probably cheaper.
My tails are similar to those, except theyre glossy.

if you get rims that look just like the cobra 17s for our truck i think they would look awesome!
as sort of a reference, these wheels are 17s

if you like i can measure how high my front/rear bumpers are tomorrow.
a 2/4 or a 3/4 drop are very mild drops and still (IMO) lets you use the truck as a truck.
just and FYI with a 3/4 drop you will still be about 1 inch higher in the back than you are in the front.

and yes the belltech kit you sent me is a nice kit! i have the same kit, just different shocks. Ive heard that the nitro drop shocks (the shocks that come with that kit) leave some to be desired, but not too terrible. The Belltech street performance shocks have gotten much better reviews.

and here is my truck dropped 3/4 on 20s

Those are good looking lights, but I think the corners should match.

My wife and I are in love with your truck blackedoutv6. I think I'll look into the 20" instead of 17". As for dropping my truck, I just don't want it to be low as a far, I like to see look down at people, not up when I'm in a vehicle for some reason.

Another idea I came up with for the truck is, I was looking into wood for the dashkit, but my wife and I both agreed it wouldn't look to good. So, should I just leave it as is (plain gray) or go with a carbon fiber look inside or paint red? If I was to paint anything on my truck that involves plastic, I would use Krylon Fusion correct?

Just found a few taillights that I like:

$192

$72 (deal?)
