Blackwalls or raised white letters?

Hey all. I have a bone stock 05 F-150 XLT and I'm due for a new set of tires. It is dark blue and I don't know if I should get blackwalls or raised white letters. I'm a more of a classic kinda guy with the white letters but I have seen some of your pics with black walls that look just fine too. My concern is the "black" look. I don't care much for a blacked out look, more chrome kinda person. Can anyone post a pic of their dark blue truck with stock rims and black wall tires? I'm also looking for the most aggressive all-terrain tire I can find. I don't off-road so I don't need a mud tire (nor do I want the road noise of one). I know most of you will suggest the BFG All terrain but what about the Pro comp xtreme terrain? I have never seen one in person so I'm not sure about them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I look at it this way. If you're using a larger wheel, ie 20", then you're limited to getting a tire with less sidewall. Blackwall out looks better in this scenario. If you get a tire that has some meat for a sidewall, then I like the white letters out.

I just put some Silent Armours(sp) on my truck a week ago for winter and was thinking the same thing you are. Black wall or OWL? I figured since my summer set up is black wall that I would go w/the factory/classic look with the raised white letters. I think they look pretty darn good. My .02

If at all posible I would go white letter any day. Plain black tires(unless low profile) just do not look good. imo

If I want to advertise on my truck I'll put a sticker on the window. White lettering on tires is bush league. Black it out!

BLACK ONLY imo white lettering makes the tire look smaller and Black makes it look cleaner.

X2!! I think raised white letters look a whole lot better if you have some meat on the sidewalls but black looks better for the low profiles!!

Black out is a lot easier to keep clean.

A photo of your truck could better help judge, but if its all dark blue, I vote blackwalls.

Black, look at mine if you don't think large tires and black walls look good on a dark blue truck. I'm not saying the whites look bad, hardly notice really, but the blacks easier to keep clean if nothing else.

Thanks for everyones input. I'm a sucker for a clean tire so I'm leaning towards a black wall. All I need now is some money to buy them
