Bilstein 5100's and BFG 305's (Pics)

I had Bilsteins and BFG 305/65-18 installed this morning, so I snapped a few shots. I'd like to give kudo's to both Stovetop and FX4life who are both members of this board. Both great people to do business with. Don't hesitate to buy from them.

The Bilsteins are great! What a difference. Both of my back stock shocks were completely DONE! They could be compressed, way too easily, and when you let them go, they stayed that way. I imagine they put some wear and tear on the leaf packs, especially the side with the leaking shock. That side of the truck bounced more as well. That's with roughly 42 k miles on them. What junk. The BFG's are a little noisier than the Firestone Destinations, but it's marginal.

I'm happy.

The 1st shot is old, but all the rest of these pics were taken a couple of hours ago.

I too have the Firestone tires on my truck and I like the look of the BFG's so much better after seeing them on your truck. Those bilsteins make our trucks look so much better leveled out. Good job on making the truck look and hopefully handle better with the upgrades.

You should PTM your bumpers AZ beige to match your trim, it would look sweet

Thanks folks! I feel like I'm driving in a nose bleed seat now I definitely notice the height difference. Even getting up on the running board seems like a stretch now, so the the running boards are needed more than ever now. I figure the truck is now sitting 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 inches higher between the Bilsteins and larger tires. I think the FX4 wheels look much better than the 17" XLT wheels.

The truck has an entirely new feeling, all for the better.

The only thing I would consider PTM would be the beige color on the lower half of the truck by getting it line-x'd black. The chrome bumpers are going nowhere

I may remove the 4x4 decals as well.

So is your ride smoother now? I've always been under the impression that the Bilsteins make it a rougher ride.

Now that you mention it, the previous era 4x4 decals are the only things I DON'T like.

Your truck looks awesome as it is "Right Now", please do NOT put that Line X stuff on the lower rocker panel of your truck, leave that stuff for for the bed, where it belongs! Just my opinion..........
