How to fix PATS problems permanently

Hi guys,

I probably should have started a new thread for this post to begin with, instead of replying to an old post. Anyway, if you want to read about how PATS systems work, and a cheap way to fix a truck that won't start because of a broken PATS system, read this:

PATS Delete Service

The bottom line is you can either try to fix PATS, or delete PATS. A PATS delete will work as long as your PCM is functional. If your 99-03 F150 odometer displays the mileage correctly, and does not display - - - - - -, then your PCM is functional, and you can send my your PCM to have me delete PATS. You can email me at pontisteve@earthlink.net if you are wanting to send it in, and I'll send you some forms to fill out and send in with the PCM.

Yes, we are always available to do this. And it's not just some sort of bypass. We're shutting PATS off completely in the computer, so it will never prevent the truck from starting again.

Email me at pontisteve@earthlink.net, and I will send you the forms that you need to fill out and send in with your computer, along with complete instructions.

Best regards,

Greetings,

What if my odometer IS displaying ---------?

I bought a 2000 F150 from a municipal auction - the truck had been sitting for 4-5 years at least, and they had no maintenance history on the vehicle, other than the mechanic said he thought he might have replaced the body control module.

If I can get the truck running, it would be great, as it is in pretty good shape. I originally purchased it with the intention of either easily getting it running, or pulling parts off and scrapping the rest. If it's cheap enough, I'd prefer running.

Thank you!

nukeme70 - why don't you PM pontisteve about your situation? I'm sure he'd be happy to tell you your options.

In this situation, you've got more going on there than you think. Not just a PATS problem. If you would like to email me, I'll clue you in on it and what to do about it. I can help.
