missing, stumbling 5.4
Hi, Im reading all the post because my 4.6L V8 engine got 220k and its causing misfiring and running rough due to the timing chain off. It accelerate as slow as molasses and power is almost gone for the 8 cylinders! Im quite sure its stretched and could have jumped a socket or two.
So im about to get the chain changed out.
The 5.4L and 4.6L are quite familiar aren't they ? Im thinking of using some of your pictures as a guide.
Thanks

To follow up,
I finally got he money to pay someone to pull my front cover off. They said that the timing was not off at all. Eddie, did you ever figure out what your problem was. I am at a loss. I was hoping that the timing was off by one tooth. My guess id to track the Cam position sensor wires back to the PCM, not sure. Any suggetstions? My mechanic was leaning more toward poassible plugged oil passages on Bank One. Thanks ahead of time for the reply. Uncle Bubba, thanks for your efforts to steer me in the right direction as well.
