She's getting there, -slowly. To damn cold!

Neat trick - dump a 5 gallon bucket of hot water on it in sub zero temps and it freezes shinny

Jacked her up a little higher yesterday so I could run a couple heaters under it - she was getting rigamortis from the cold (-2/f ) AND from being on blocks so damn long. -

Would have got her a blanket if I had one big enough .. - Yea right!

Jbrew, you need this. I was thinking about it but they don't seem to make a crank pulley for my engine.

Then you can play Crazy Bitch on the move.

Someone who knows more about it would have to talk me into it. I've heard of the Vortec, but really don't know to much about them - Wish I did, looks like a good deal. I need a little more pulling power/torque, that's what I'm trying to accomplish anyway.

Idunno, I'm worried about frying the motor right now - The plugs looked like they seen a ghost - So do the valves. Once I get that worry takin care of, I might be interested

I can't seem to find out what's going on with it yet. - Pretty sure it's just the tune, but not convinced I guess.

I haven't ben keeping up with your thread, I didn't know you were having that many problems. When I gave up on it I thought of you.
I know if I got it I'd have to replace tre engine soon. Mine is getting old anyway.

Yea, I emailed a tuner last night about the problem. I guess I have to get a canned set first - but there's no computer code on the truck anywhere - I think I'm screwed - Hell with it, I let her blow

Oh well, that's not too bad, all you need to do is get a new fan belt and some new hoses, and a few other things... You'll have her shining like new in no time!

I'm figuring I'll have things back in order by tomorrow or maybe tonight.

I'll post a pic of my progress later. - First I'll call Sears & Roebuck

Glad I took a pic of my model #

Yea, I didn't know that. Talked with a tuner and we have to find out if the truck has been re-flashed. That info displays when you boot up the tuner.

I don't know if it's been re-flashed. The motor blew in 2000 under warranty. I'm not sure if it was re-flashed at that point. The tuner seems to think it was.

I'm going to compression test it first, to get that worry out of the way- then order the tuner.

Thanks for the info, I will look on the PCM.
