Project GO FAST is now in progress!!!
well the only other option is crank sens, that would cause you to not fire at all. if the cam position sens is setup the same way as i've learned it, it will fire and run the injectors as a "batch". causing low mpg, slightly less performance. it would also take more time to fire off with the cam position sensor sending a f'd signal too.
this is really aggravating! went to see a movie last night, and when we got back in my truck it started up just fine, put it in reverse, waiting for cars to move, its at idle, doing just fine then it just dies. i try to start it, it just cranks and cranks no hit. i let off and try again, nothing, try again and it starts up as if nothing happened! then at 2 stop lights just sitting there in drive at idle, rpms go to about 150-200 and then it picks right back up and idles just fine!
^^^^^ This sounds like the typical no start to me. I just hold the pedal to the floor on the second crank, and it fires right up. It seems to be in 130*? ect range. This can be tuned out, but it is very much a trial and error fix.
My truck has done that to me a few different times, never died though, but every time it does it, the RPMS drop to that range, truck shutters like a SOB, and then it just picks back up like nothing happens
130* ect range?
well i didnt wanna hear it from you... but i already had that opinion, and that means another person suspects it.
check the wiring from the cam pos, that was a partial issue on my other vehicle. my only problem with that theory is it SHOULD NOT shut the engine off from what i understand.
