Project GO FAST is now in progress!!!
Well, the motors went a few tunning stages to get dialed in , it might be the plugs. I've experience coils getting hit with oil or even gas - dry them off and all seems fine . Two days later , they start that mis firing business.
You said you had trans fluid hit the truck pretty bad right - That could have something to do with it. Some residual fluid might have worked it's way into a connector or a coil may have been exposed to fluid and it may have infected it..
But , yea , they usually last 2 days after exposed for me.
BTW - Your over 4000 posts ( :

Last time something happened to me like that was two winters ago . That spring rusted inside the connector @ the fuel rail . It blew off @ about 45mph Pumped gas all over the back of the motor and it soaked down #8 coil pretty good. It was okay for a couple days , before it started acting up. The coil was fairly new as well..
I had pretty much the same thing happening last week. It would sometimes miss, but other times seemed fine. I started by pulling plugs and found the #3 cylinder was definitely lean. turned out to be a bad 42# injector. I think youre running 60#ers, but you might check.
I pulled all the plugs, they were all fine, still looked new and gapped at .032... still have the wot miss. Today going down he interstate at 80mph, it would cut out for a second, about 5 times within 5 miles... I wish it would just throw a code or something.
Well , you can kick start the monitor. I posted a "How to" in the lightnings forum..
I'll find it for yuh .
Here it is -

But yours cuts out @ WFO (wot) So it's a big ? mark. Well, it's worth a shot . Maybe the monitor can at least isolate the cylinder # if it's indeed just one cylinder. You might be able to get a multiple/random code set anyway.

Thing is , that procedure has to be done under normal acceleration..
Uhmmm.. - Is there such a thing anymore?
You might want to do more than just two excels and decels to be sure the monitor gets activated - just in case

Check your engine and tranny harness connectors. While you are at it check the PCM connector too. I dielectric grease all of mine to keep water mud out. Do the gauges sweep when the engine cuts out?
