Thats a good part of the reason you think its too loud now....tailpipes make a big difference...

This is Missoura boy, we don't run no damn mufflers. Been running straight pipe, turned down w/ 3 1/2" SS tip and no pre-cats for years now. Can't wait to see how long tubes and a cam changes things. Wish you lived a little closer Built.

yea but I do not like the look of tips at all... I may run the turndowns past the axle though if this isnt any better. Its not that its too loud, i just want it quieter.

Haha... exactly. Mufflers are extra unnecessary weight!!

I've been thinking.... what about lightning style tips? That would give me the sound I want, and it would be quiet inside.... BUT how would it look?
heres a pic from my phone camera, which takes way better pictures than I thought it did! , id get bigger diameter tips and have them almost touching each other

ya i used them for an idea only. Im thinking 4", or 3.5 straight cut, but still mount them at an angle... i dunno, give me ideas!

Idunno , I'm not crazy about that set up on that truck in the picture. Maybe it's just me - Can't put my finger on it, just doesn't look right..It might be the angle of the picture. :o

yeah im having second thoughts... maybe ill just run the pipe over the axle and turn it down right where the spare tire used to be so u dont see it
