Not many if any......

The stock 40mm = 1.57" and is going in a 2" snout

The replacement bolt is not even a full ½" difference the snout is a full ½" longer.
50mm = 1.96"

1.96" - 1.57" = 0.39" difference in bolts
thats 0.11" less threads with the new balancer and new bolt anyway. (assuming material thickness is the same between both balancers.) the new balancer may be 0.11" thinner, which would make the new balancer with new bolt have the same threads catching as the stock assembly.

I'd say that is your problem.......

naw it probably only makes sense now while I'm drunk, tomorrow I'll be going.. WTF was I talking about?!?

Bad thing is, normal conversation..... no one would think twice about it.... wouldn't even remember the conversion and calculations or likely why we were doing it... come morning. How ever, now it's been immortalized for everyone to see in the AM while I'm sleeping........

i beleive the snout on the BHJ is 2.32" if they say length is the thickness of it.

Well if the old bolt is only catching by 5 threads and the new bolt will catch by 10 then then the old bolt wouldn't have enuogh grip or be far enough in the hole or catch enough material to keep the G force of the balancer from wobbeling. You would strip the threads off before you got it tight enough.

There ya go, the new bolt will be catching slightly more threads than even the stock one was. But teh stock one wont be far enough in to stop the G forces.

Ya'll didn't get nearly as much snow as we did up here... and I found that my truck cuts better donuts in 4x4 than it does in 2wd...

at the school bus barn????

Bwahahahahaha

Thats hilarious! Go to wal-mart like everyone else, they don't care. I think that's why they build parking lots to hold 20K cars in a town of 10K people, so we have extra room to cut doughnuts and play!
