I'm not sure about the f-150 because I haven't the occasion to exceed the limiter yet. But on my '97 cavalier, turning the key DOES in fact disable the limiter and allow the car to continue accelerating. It also turns off some other electronics like the radio. After a few seconds of this, a dash light comes on. IIRC, it was the ABS light, which was not lit the next time I started the car.

So you're agreeing with me on that.

The topic was someone going SLOWER than the speed limit while traffic was moving ABOVE the speed limit in the real world. Your example was fantasy - mine was typical. The slow vehicle would get pulled over every time, and you know it.

You can't argue any facts, so you're going back to a childish attack that I've already addressed, huh? How did you determine what I had "probably" tested? I'd bet the rent that I'm more familiar with my truck than you are with yours.

That's not the question. The question is: do YOU? You're the one telling ME where my truck's CG is, even though you've never been within 500 miles of it, and never driven one like it. You must be a telepathic genius.

So now we ALL know that you've never seen my truck, and that you're totally talking out of your tailpipe.

Great. Teach me more about plane geometry. LATER! Right now, you're telling us all about MY truck, which ISN'T any higher that when it left the factory. Stop trying to confuse the topic - it's a VERY weak defense of a VERY weak argument.

What are you babbling about? You haven't yet established that ANYONE participating in this thread has a top-heavy vehicle, or even what you mean by "top-heavy". Personally, I'd define that term as: a vehicle whose CG is above its horizontal centerline. And I don't think you'll find a vehicle that's street-legal fitting that definition. What do YOU mean by "top-heavy"?

Yeah - tell us the nuclear/electrical ramifications of a truck doing 100mph.

I'm 100% sure you're just spouting off without any concept of what you're trying to prove. WHICH of my bolt-ons am I suggesting violate WHICH physical laws? You're the one who keeps telling us about my truck's physical characteristics. What are those characteristics? And how did you learn about them?

That's a WHOLE different discussion, on every level - "safety" is an illusion. Life is 100% fatal, no matter what you do. You'll never make it out alive.

Ummm... Refresh my memory; which improvements did I cite? And which laws of physics?

Again; refresh my memory on exactly WHOM I insulted, and what was the insult? Can you quote me so I can see it? I think the only one you'll find is where I'm quoting YOU.

Wild assumptions.
Wrong MOST of the time.
Attempting to change the subject or cause confusion when he's called on it.
Name-calling.
Childish comebacks.

So how would you categorize YOUR actions in this thread? Would "like an arrogant 2-year-old know-nothing" be anywhere close?

All of my responses have been on-topic (or in direct response to your bs), at LEAST as polite as yours, and technically accurate. So whenever you're ready to drop the extraneous bs, so am I. How about addressing some FACTS?

Hey everyone - I was searching for some info. Not finding any I wandered around your board and found this... discussion...

A word of caution - I drive a $100 car I built from a wreck - And I'm looking for someone JUST LIKE YOU GUYS to slam me on the freeway so I can get a new one - I'm the ******* in front of you who *taps* the brakes at 80 when I see those "bright *** lights" in my mirrors as I try to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front of me.

Come on big boy! Its cool. You can smash my Camry all to pieces. I'll wait for the ambulance (unless you try to pull me out - Then I'll shoot at you if I'm still conscious)

And much like my new lead footed friends on this board - I'm dead serious.

See ya in court!

Yes it works, yes I do it, and guess what I AM 20 YEARS OLD.

Your starter only engages in park and neutral, or only when the clutch is engaged in a manual trans. Soooooooooo when you have your foot right into it while its in gear your starter SHOULDN'T engage. If it does your truck is broke. Get it fixed
