99 mph
These new trucks handle great but they require alot of stopping distance!!
I have had mine to 100 only a few times. To me it isn't worth losing my job for speeding tickets. Is something happens at 100 your screwed!!!If your truck is a worn out POS then you definately should not go 100!!!My truck with 35 inch tires handles great going down the interstate at about 80-90 but i need distance to stop at those speeds so i don't push my luck!!

Going 19 mph SLOWER than everyone else is at LEAST as dangerous as going 19mph faster, if not moreso. It's also a crime (traffic obstruction - look it up), even if everyone else is speeding. There are sections of interstate in TN where you'll be pulled over sooner for going slowly than for speeding - look up the accident stats for I-75 between Chattanooga & K'ville.
I didn't say I did 100 mph on public roads (in THIS thread, anyway
). Maybe there's not a large public race track near YOU, but there IS near me. There are also plenty of commercial dynos.
And you have NO idea what my Bronco was ever built for. I put it together from the ground up, and I know every part on it. There are maybe 4 factory parts left on it, and neither the frame, the body, the suspension, nor the axles are among them. And it's not "worn out" - it's just a POS beater.
This little drive resulted in NO damage to anything (not even a scratch on the paint), and all I did before getting on the highway to go home was air the tires back up.

I was talking in general about some of the stuff i see on the road.
I had my truck up to 99 a couple times plenmty fast for me in a truck. I mostly cruise down the Interstates between 70 and 80MPH. But every now and then I'll take it to 90 plus for a short distance.

is this a TN crime? would you mind posting this law
in many areas of the country, there exists a posted speed limit maximum and minimum so i'm curious about how travelling within the posted speed limit relates to the idea of traffic obstruction
I didn't want to get involved but that last post by smoke caught my attention. YES driving slowly on the interstates/highways will get youa ticket faster than if you are speeding. Personally, I have gotten my truck past the limiter (got a tuner) and done 115 ish around there. Personally that was enough for me I saw how far it took too slow down (this was actually on a highway I was paving for work last summer.) I do cruise around 70-80...and I have the tickets too prove it :-/ I have found that unless you are driving a full on 1000 miles or so, going 8-12 mph over the speed limit really does not effect your ETA. I know when I am on the highway if someone blows by me doing way too fast and they are coincidentally (sp.) going on the same exit as I am, they get there and wait for the light about the same time as I pull on the offramp and get behind them, the light changes, SAME ETA?! Oh well people may do as they please, but if they get caught, thats thier problem!

Whether it's topheavy or not has NOTHING to do with its safety at speed. It only affects cornering, and a Bronco will corner better than most pickups & a lot of cars. No, it's not topheavy.

Double negative, right? Does that make it positive, which therefore results in the statement reading that it IS topheavy?!?
Sorry... just had to post that. I could be wrong seeing as how I usually slept in my English classes in school.
BTW the second post is the answer. All this talk about safe/unsafe is stupid. For all we know the OP could be wanting to drag his truck. Carry on the flaming...
