I think we have two totally different goals. I know you're wanting to go turbo, which I will be right off the bat with an 88mil (S88). I'm not even looking to keep it street worthy. Full sheetmetal intake, air-water intercooler in the passanger seat floor-board, Currie 9", custom 4 link, tubbed, etc.

HI!... It was joke, but I guess you couldn't understand that from the LOL and the smiley face! I really couldn't care less what your building. I care what I'm building........................

please stop comparing your PoS 4.6 to my 3V 5.4

DOES your 4.6 HAVE any OF this?

YOU KNOW WHAT a STOCK 4.6 MIGHT be peppier then my STOCK 5.4 but guess what!? my STOCK 5.4 will move 9,500lbs ALOT quicker and ALOT easier then your 4.6 COULD EVER DREAM of doing.

the most the truck has ever towed stock was a 54 pontiac star cheif. with a 1500lb trailor.. pulled it fine

mine also hauled 2100lbs of concrete in the bed from lowes to my house... and a very large 2500lb snapon tool box from temple to houston. hauled it fine but it bent the bed when we went over some train tracks...

It's good to see there's no high testosterone levels here....This IS an F-150 site and the F-150s come with different engines so why get excited about who's is better.

Soon the diesel guys will come chirping about their torque numbers (which are much higher than the 5.4).

The 5.4 in the new body style is less than exciting to drive and the 4.6 is even less so. Either of these in the Heritage is a different story.

You have to have a 5.4 in the new body style just to pull it around. If you want power-get a Hemi, if you want a good truck get the Ford....

I remember my buddy was trying to tow a 79 Ford pickup on a trailer with his 97 4.6 and it couldnt do it. It was quite funny, maybe his pickup was messed up though. Ive never tried to tow a thing with my pickup-Thats what the Chevys are for

On a different note, those new 5.4 are much slower than I thought they would be. That extra wieght must really kill them. I was messing around with my buddy and his 04 5.4 and I was not impressed at all. Not exactley fair races, but I expected more from it. First time he was going around a curve and I was right behind him. I nailed it half way through the curve and when I got to his back door he nailed it-I definatley had the head start there as I blew by him, but even after he got going he never caught up to well. If he was catching up, it was pretty slow. The second time was much more fair. Again, going around a curve, he was infront of me. We were going about 60, and I was RIGHT on his tail when I moved over into the other lane, still cruising at 60, I didnt give it any gas. He saw me there and we both nailed it at the same time. My front bumper was right beside his rear bumper, the exact place it was when we both nailed it, up to about 90, then he walked on me till we hit 100.
Like I said, not perfect little runs, but I expected more from him. I found it pretty funny that I stayed with him from 60 to 90 too.
1/4 I think he would kill me though.

Not doggin you guys with the 5.4's, but probably more the heavy *** trucks.

HI!... DEAL! But you have to add 4000LBS to your bike to make it weigh the same as a F-150!
