I'll be throwing in some new cams and bigger injectors, ummmmmmm, probably this coming spring sometime. At that point, moderately modified would suit it better.

If it's not a diesel, and it don't lope, it's a *******.

It has a less efficient rod ratio, look it up. It's not hard to understand. Google it or something!

As for the heads, they are inefficient, PERIOD. Since the same head is used in both applications, they both EQUALLY SUCK.

LIKE I SAID, I HAVE BOTH A 4.6 AND A 5.4.

I am building a race motor with a 5.4.

I HAVE NO REASON TO BE BIAS!

NOW THAT'S E*******INGNOUGH ABOUT IT! LETS DO SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE........ Like make fun of jbrew and his rollie-pollie-goth-devil-wife!
im talking about the 04+ 5.4 3v not the 2 valve

i am leery of that servo idea, i use to play with rc cars with steering and throttle servo's. at work we use servo's to open and close keys. both of these systems had few, but MAJOR glitch's and break downs of these servo's.

i want more detailed info lol

i like how your comparing RC cars to a 30,000 dollar Ford vehicle.

im not going to but i'd like you to go ahead and search and google for failing servo's on these 04+ engines.. because i've never ONCE heard of that happening

but if my servo's ever fail i'll let my ESP plan cover it
and probably wont ever buy a ford again because that would be stupid..

true, im a jackass for comparing toy grade with automotive.

BUT i did mention servo's from work. which you must of skipped. these servos at work do not move a high force, or very fast and still wear out. granted it only effects ink flow but it happens often enough that it instills a small amount of worry.

One last time... Take a go kart with a 5 horse B&S engine. Run it down the 1/8 mile and record the numbers. Now swap in a 7 Horse and run it again. If you are telling me that the 7 horse ran slower then I am saying that you are full of shìt. In the my truck, see sig, the 5.4 runs way stronger than the 4.6. I ran 17s with the 4.6. in my truck. When I swapped it out for the 5.4 I ran 16s. That is 1 second on a 5000 lbs truck. Anybody that has done the swap will agree.

hey. in this thread we're all jackasses

and i just dont see how your servo's compare to the servo's in my T/B

i have YET to hear about ANY servo's failing on ANY engine built past 2004..

and the electronic throttle control is being used on ALL F-150 engines built past 2004.. 4.2L, 4.6L and the 5.4L

No, let's be fair and put the difference in perspective. 17% is 17%.

Go get one of those 50cc chainsaw engine powered dirt bikes from Autozone or the street corner or whatever.

Run it down the 8th and record the numbers.

Now bore it to 58cc and try it again.

Don't be shocked when they both top out at 22mph.

If cubes was all there was to it, Indy Cars wouldn't make 750hp N/A with only 3 liters.

Alls I'ms sayins iss thats theirs as lots lesss differences thens everyoness makings thems outs tos bes.
