I'm depressed, I modded my truck today rear ending a Honda (stupid SoCal traffic...), poor Frank I dented his bumper.
Ahwell, at least now I can justify upgrading to the 4WD bumper with fogs.:o Then, I'll be able to see better when I'm ahead of you 5.4 guys...
Hey jbrew, since I could beat you now, I wonder how bad I'll be able to destroy you this summer when I get some 4.10's to replace my 3.55LS. Did I mention I was on stock tires.
Now I'm happier, thinking about beating the 5.4 in my Scab 4.6....

what rear-end do you have, have you thought about doing 4.10s or 4.56s?
I did some searching and read some threads from 1999, that say that 4.10s on a stock tire size 4.6 are the best thing since sliced bread.

3.55 open diff for gears, and i guess mine is the smaller 8.8? rear end since im fortunate enough not to have the 5.4

you aparantly have NO f'n idea about motors if you think the 5.4 is gutless after 4500... its called BUILD IT to do what you want... if i wanted i could build my 5.4 for all out torque for towing... or i could go bonkers for hp #'s and go with neals build and actually add the turbo to it...
i will take you for a ride in my gutless 4.6 ride.

you could turbo a geo metro 3cyl, but that doesnt mean it will of any use before it hits 4k and the turbo really spools....
And you could put 5.30 gears in a stock truck and have all the torque you could ever want, but i guarantee it will get winded around 60 mph....
