Yeah , but converter shudder goes for you as well, I gotta take off , I 'll look up your trans when I get back , bout 45 minutes..

Correct,I am self-employed sub contractor.I work on all of the track homes and custom homes doing wood decks,vinyle handrail,aluminum screened porches.Basicly exterior decoration but it is getting slow.They are actually in the proccess of pasing a no growth order.If they do i'm prob gonna move or try something else considering i'm only 24 years old.

rat hole? Not a rat hole - Just keep an eyeball on the GPS systems - there still buggy as hell in the Earth Movin Bizz ..

HI!... The 4R70W's are known for poor lubrication to the slip yoke bushing. When I had my tranny last built I had my tranny builder plumb a oil feed line back to the tailstock to feed the slip yoke bushing. Works great.

I'm depressed, I modded my truck today rear ending a Honda (stupid SoCal traffic...), poor Frank I dented his bumper. Ahwell, at least now I can justify upgrading to the 4WD bumper with fogs.:o Then, I'll be able to see better when I'm ahead of you 5.4 guys...

Hey jbrew, since I could beat you now, I wonder how bad I'll be able to destroy you this summer when I get some 4.10's to replace my 3.55LS. Did I mention I was on stock tires.

Now I'm happier, thinking about beating the 5.4 in my Scab 4.6....

Hey patrick,

what rear-end do you have, have you thought about doing 4.10s or 4.56s?

I did some searching and read some threads from 1999, that say that 4.10s on a stock tire size 4.6 are the best thing since sliced bread.

3.55 open diff for gears, and i guess mine is the smaller 8.8? rear end since im fortunate enough not to have the 5.4

yah i want 4.10 LS but again its just another thing that i dont have money for

oh i suppose you'r mr know everything again? i suppose that lousy no bottom end pull motors the better motor right?

you aparantly have NO f'n idea about motors if you think the 5.4 is gutless after 4500... its called BUILD IT to do what you want... if i wanted i could build my 5.4 for all out torque for towing... or i could go bonkers for hp #'s and go with neals build and actually add the turbo to it...

i will take you for a ride in my gutless 4.6 ride.

man, another STUPID comment from slower150...

Do you need to see counsling? You seem bitter about everthing in your life... Sure you can build anything to put more tq or more hp then stock sure... but for a stock set up the 5.4 does get short winded in the higher RPMS, hell even my truck does, i wont lie, but i for sure wouldnt call it gutless, and i for sure know i can take an equally modded 5.4 2v

you could turbo a geo metro 3cyl, but that doesnt mean it will of any use before it hits 4k and the turbo really spools....

And you could put 5.30 gears in a stock truck and have all the torque you could ever want, but i guarantee it will get winded around 60 mph....
