when i went to the dyno with my shortys and no tune i put down 190HP and 234Ftlbs.

yes 5,300 RPM its lossing power my truck made make power at 4,200 RPM

they did it in 3rd gear i have a 4R70W so 3rd gear is a 1:1 ratio 9/10 3rd gear is what you want for a dyno.

So what if he has to spin 150mph the dyno drums turn pretty easy doesnt take that much effort nothing like being on the road.

when ever i get 80 bucks ill have to go back again to see what my tune and longtubes gave me ill take pics and videos this time.

Blue Oval - what rpm were you turning? Speedometers are often very inaccurate above 100+ mph. You must have a very strong running truck if you are doing a true 130 mph without breaking a sweat.
Well it wasn't like I was there in a jiffy, but it didnt do too bad.

Stock tires are usally on 2WD 255/70/16 or 30.02x10.6

5200 isn't THAT far past the power peak of a 4.2, but it's going to have a hard time pulling it in 4th on the road. It'll pull it all day in 3rd.

I think Ford rates peak power at 4,750 rpm for the 4.2; might vary some year to year.

FWIW, mine would rev past peak, but above 4,800 rpm the power drops off substantially.

Shifty, you are trying to compare apples to oranges. You have a 4.6 with a 4 speed automatic and he has a 4.2 with a 5 speed stick.

Let's see the video. Make a video. And don't cut out the part where the Highway Patrol officer puts his foot up your *** as he is telling you to "press real hard, there are 3 copies".

Phft, I had a 00 V-6 pony pack mustang cut out on me as the needle went past 120.

3.8L 5 speed
Short throw shifter
Cheep CAI
True duals, thrush mufflers. (hay was on it when I got the car)

Paid $3,500 for it in 2008 when it had 60K miles on it.

(I realize the pics say 03, the camera was not set up.)

Also, has my 06 F-150 XLT s-cab 6 1/2 up to 95 before I got scared and back off. Would have never done 120 in the stang if I had not been pissed off by a ricer (who chickened after 115.)

I wrecked and totaled that car, and shorty after traded it to my truck.

Do I have a video? No.
Do I care if you believe me? no!
Do I have any reason to lie? no.
